I wasn't sure what a chemical pg was either so I found this:
What is a Chemical Pregnancy?

A chemical pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg does not implant into the uterine wall. If a pregnancy test is taken just at the right time it will be positive, however, when a repeat test is taken several days later it will be negative.

My question is what is PPAF?

chemical pregnancy? does that really happen?

Cuz with my second, when he was 4 months old, my period still hadn't come back but I was nursing all the time, but I was queasy one week so I decided to test myself and there was a very little hint of a positive.

Well I freaked a little and I told my husband and we freaked a little more, cuz it was way too soon, a 3 year old a 4 month old and preggers again??? And we were careful and everything.

so we calmed down and I tested again the next day and it was negative,... I figured I just tested wrong, or contaminated the stick or something.

so it was a chemical pregnancy???

chemical pregnancy can also be a very, very early miscarriage. in may i had MANY pregnancy symptoms from 7 days past ovulation (DPO). i had them consistently for a week, and had positive pregnancy tests at DPO 13 and 14, though the first was faint and the second even more so. DPO 16 i woke up to spotting, feeling deflated, and had a negative pregnancy test, with a heavy, heavy bleeding starting the next day.

me+him for 15 yrs, welcomed our little one march 25th, 2010.

I have been looking for a thread like this!!!  So glad all you ladies took the time to explain the abbreviations for us noobs.  However, does anyone else think that the abbreviations are a little out of hand?  I have a tendency to get a little frustrated, I mean.. there are a LOT.  And many are kinda unnecessary.   Why do we use BFP or BFN?  Why not just Pos or Neg.  Does anyone actually say Big Fat Positive in real life?  No.  Or KHA for Keep Hope Alive - why does that even need an abbreviation?  Also DH, DD, DS - I have seen these on wedding boards too and again, don't get the need.  Just say Hubs or daughter or son.   I get that it's a characteristic of the online preg community, so it'll never change.  Just wanna see if there are any like minded people out there who would rather just say what they mean than talk in never ending code!  Look at what Mylia11 just posted - that is insane!  Thank you for taking the time to post that, Mylia.  WOAH there are a lot!

Agree with PP (previous poster - ha! just had to get an acronym in myself) that we could stand to drop a little of the code.  It took me forever to figure out what AF meant (and why use it when it takes very little time to write period?), but I was so amused by the idea of being visited by Aunt Flow that I've started using it myself.
