I couldn't believe it! I called my old RE's office the other day to see if he's do any bloodwork. DD is 20 months old and I don't have a regular cycle yet. She BFs a few times a day. They won't see patients AT ALL, even for bloodwork until they have completely weaned. I was shocked! Anyone else find the same thing? I wouldn't want to take meds or anything while still BFing, but I'd like to know if it's the prolactin or something else that is keeping me from Oing.

Thanks!!!

I wouldn't be shocked at all, that is what I'd expect to hear them say! Sure, they can take your blood, and tell you that you aren't ovulating, but you already know that. Then they'd just tell you it's because you are breastfeeding, which you already know that, too. You could probably go to your gp and get bloodwork done, but what's the point?

I guess my question is, "What if there is another reason besides BF that I'm not ovulating?" It IS possible that it's something else, right?
