Here's Hoping for Lots of May Sticky Babies. I know it is a little early but I figured it's better than a little late. I'm still waiting to O on CD 13. I took off the names of people who didn't post last month but if I accidently took you off let me know. It was a long thread and I may have made a mistake.

Hey Everybody. The thread looks awesome, Rozzie'sMa!

Well, I have had a horrible past few days, and no internet access to share my misery. At the end of last week I was actually feeling like all that BD'ing mght be paying off. My uterus felt sorta thick, and I took that as promising. But Thursday night I started getting a cold, and Friday it was pretty bad. Then I started spotting Friday morning. I thought maybe it could be pre-O spotting or implantation - that was CD 17. But no, it turned into AF - after only a 17 day cycle! It just all got worse from there. I walked into a post at my mother's house and bonked my head (I was turning to watch Robin while I walked) and it just made me cry at how lame and pitiful I was running into things. THen I got a stomach virus saturday and spent all last night running to puke in the toilet, and hitting the floor more than one should. So now I'm a) not pregnant, b) sick with a cold, c) sick with a stomach virus, d) on my period and e) running into stationary objects. I then came home to receive an email from a friend announcing their pregnancy - their DD is 4 months younger than mine and they are awful CIO parents - and saying that they always thought we'd be the ones having #2 first - but they guesss not since our other friends (with a DS younger than my DD) are having their 2nd in a few months. It's like a bad joke - who has this much crap at one time?

Ugg, enough of my pity party - I have an amazing little girl and a good life - don't feel bad for me (I'm trying to follow that advice myself). However, since I am no longer a nursing mom, I think my time here is up. I have truly truly appreciated being a part of this group and have loved all the support and advice I have received from it. Good luck to you all - I hope your time here is short and sweet. I'm going to boogie over to the TTC 12months+ since as of today I fit that criteria.

I'll check back in and hope to see lots of BFPS!!!!!!

to Yo Becca. Best wishes to you. BTW, I am originally from Albany, just down the road from Columbus.

I am waiting to O on May 5, which just happens to be our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Best wishes to everyone!

Hi Bfing mommas,

I have a almost 1yr old ds and have just begun to actively TTC, we haven't used any protection since ds's birth. My ds and i enjoy our BFing relationship and I haven't gotten a PPAF. I am considering night weaning him after he turns a year, I am hoping either to catch the first egg or have night weaning kick start my cycles. It took 14 mo to conceive ds and I hope I don't have to go thru that again. If anyone has any suggestions how to get my body going without weaning, I'm all ears.

Hi, Mamas!

Just waiting to be ready here . . .got my first post-partum period 2 weeks ago, but I don't think I am actually ovulating yet. It may be a LONG time before I get pregnant as I don't want to wean anytime soon, and I think my body reacts strongly to nursing of any sort (and DD is still a 24/7 nursing machine).

Thanks for taking over the thread this month rozzie'sma!

I have a good feeling about this month. Hopefully this is it! This is only my third cycle ttc so I won't be totally bummed if i'm not pregnant, but it would still be nice.
We've found some extra time to BD & I don't have the stress of our business hanging over my head. I mentioned last month that we were thinking of selling it, but have instead invested more money into it with hope that things will get better. More inventory = more sales, right?

Welcome to all the NEW people. May your stay here be short.

Yo"Becca- I took you off our list. I teared up a little. I know what you mean about everyone else getting pregnant before you. Of my 5 best friends 3 of them are pregnant right now. All OOPS babies too. It rips my heart from my chest.

Shalena I am glad you guys are keeping the business. It is so sad when family businesses fold. Here's hoping to increased sales and a BFP.

MotheringHeart, thanks so much for always addressing all our questions and concerns!
Well, curiosity got the best of me and I did test on Thursday and got a BFN. Then tested again on Sunday when AF was due and got another BFN. As of this morning still no signs of AF, guess I’m just late.

scarlett1110, congrats on the BFP, wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy. Wow, I couldn’t keep it from my DH for so long I would be bursting to tell him.

rozzie'sma , thanks for doing the thread this month, it looks great.

Becca, that is a lot to take in a few days. Hope this week will be much better for you.

Welcome to our newest members. :

Wow, I didn't realize that there are so many cute icons. Can you tell that I just discovered them?

Take care,

Sandy

I rubbed garlic on my vulva last night but it did not work. If the itching on my vulva would go away I'd be a much happier person right now. I haven't inserted any garlic in me yet though. How do you do it? Do you open up the garlic first? Do you have the gauze hang out? How long do you keep it in?

Thanks!

Kristen

I usually unpeel a clove, crack it in half, wrap it up in gauze, tie it closed with some thread and leave a string on it so it's easier to pull out. Then I put it in and go to sleep for the night. If it is really bad I do it for a few days, changing to clove about every 8 hours. It kills the yeast, king of like monostat but not as harsh.

Hi Everyone. I'm new, just posted once last month. I'm not quite sure where I fit in - I have an 8 mo old dd and got my first ppaf on mar 31, and nothing since. I would have thought she'd have been back by now, but is it possible that due to the bfeeding I'm very irregular? I've been kinda crampy the past few week, and had slight spotting once last week. Any ideas? It's like I think any minute she's gonna be here but I go pee and nothing. Anyone ever been pregnant and felt like af was coming instead?? Wouldn't that be a nice surprise!

Good luck to everyone this month!

Dh and I aren't ttc, but I was checking out this thread to see if anyone was experiencing what you actually described!

I'm 7 months pp, still nursing, and haven't had AF return yet. I expected that, b/c when I was nursing my daughter, AF didn't return for a year. Anyway, for the last 5 days, I've been crampy... like I'd get during AF. Last night it was pretty strong, but today it's just a dull crampiness off and on. I've had no spotting, no nothing. I remember when dd was about this age that I got some crampy spells in the months before AF returned, but nothing that lasted this long.

We really are not ready for another baby, so I'm hoping that the crampiness means my body is just getting back to "normal." The thing is, though, that my first sign of pregnancy has always been crampiness... :

Good luck to all of you who are ttc!

Wantads- I'm going to pop you into the 2WW if you don't mind. At this point you have probably O'd. You may still get AF, you may get a BFP, you may be starting and stopping your cycles. My last cycle was 35 days long so AF could be right around the corner. Also the spotting last week could have been implantation. Have you tested? Do you chart? Charting really has helped give me peace of mind and figure out my wacky cycles.

Thanks for including me in the list!

I did just take a test to and got a bfn. Yuk. Oh well. So I guess I'm just in the waiting game for af. So for those of you who have gotten ppaf, did it take a while for your cycles to get regular? Can I do anything to speed it along?

Does night weaning help the process? How do I know if I'm even ovulating? Is it just assumed since I got af? Thanks ladies!

Good luck to all waiting...

Wantads- This is my 3rd ppaf cycle and I am wonky. DD nurses 2 times at night. I O but it is late, my cycles are like 35 days long, and I have a short LP. I really recommend charting even if it is only for a month or 2. Or tune into your cervical mucous. When it is clear, eqqwhite, stretchy, and kind of like snot it is a pretty good indication of ovulation.

For those of you who have had your first post-partum period, have you been ovulating? If so, was it right away or how long did it take?

Elena - I ovulated on day 27 of my cycle after my first pp period. After ovulating, I got my period five days later. The next cycle was better, I o'd on cycle day 19, this cycle, i'm right in the middle of an eggwhite patch and am on cd 17. I probably O'd yesterday or the day before. So, while not regular, I am getting there. It takes a bit for your body to "get back in the swing of things".

Can I be added? Dh and I started ttc last month but obviously it didn't work as this is day 1 of AF Sophie is 22 months and still nursing whenever she gets the chance. My cycles have been regular since I got AF back a few months ago but the last 2 months have been a little crazy. Last month was a 23 day cycle and this month was a 30 day cycle. I actually got 2 very faint positive HPTs on 12dpo but then - hpts after that so it seems like something was trying to happen which would explain my longer cycle this month. Anyway....I'm hopeful that this will be our month! I'm going to start charting again so I can make sure I'm o'ing too!.
