On the tails of my previous thread, I'd like to hear what you all enjoy eating when trying to conceive.

I'd like to find the most well-balanced, fruit/veggie-rich, healthy, folic-acid laden foods I can and incorporate them into my diet.

So far, all I've come up with is a nice Greek salad - minus the lamb for me.

I've been trying to remember to buy canteloupe at the store - and strawberries for my smoothies.

What do you like to eat for optimum baby/mama health?

Dang it, now I'm craving Greek food.

For healthy foods to support my body while ttc, I mostly try to eat a ton of veggies, at least one raw a day, and lots of green tea- it supports the immune system (I've read that m/c are frequently caused by infections), and helps the teeth and gums (and I've read that periodontal disease is as much of a factor in low birth weight babies as smoking, and my gums are terrible).

My favorite fertility foods as far as visualizations/fertile metaphors that make me think positive thoughts are pomagranates, figs, and tomatoes--I like to eat a ripe friut, bursting with seeds, and visualize myself swelling like the fruit with a child.
