Oh, and I'm making some sugar scrubs, too!
Hi Frog!!

I am working on pins myself made a bunch for my dd to take to school today--the 6th graders run a student store on the last school day of the month and sell different things--stickers, books, stuffed animals, snacks--and bug wanted some of the pins to sell . The school issues 'money' for the kids to spend--they have to 'pay' for thier desks each month ($30) and various other things, and depending on thier in class behavior they can earn or loose money. Sooooo I made 25 holiday pins (santa claus, trees, candy canes, snowmen and snowflakes and some other ones!) for the store today.

For other giftie things, I am making counted cross stitched ornaments--found a really cool book the last time I was at Michael's--78 different ones! They have I think 6 different themes to pick from, so I have been having fun doing different ones. Working on snowmen and snowladies! at the moment. I make soap, so for my sisters and sister in law, my aunt, mom and MIL, I am making up soap baskets. I have 5 that I am going to use (mocha latte, buttermilk/wheatgerm/honey, honey/carrot/buttermilk, one that I call bengal chai--has black pepper, tangernine, cederwood, patch and gingergrass EO's in it and a goatsmilk one). I am also going to do a couple bathsalts and a creme that I do that is really nummy and good for winter (made with local honey, organic apple cider vinegar and olive oil) to put in each basket. Probably add an oatmeal bath bag or two. Might knit a face cloth or two, as well. And I am starting each one on a one of those cross stitched ornament sets. I figure 2-3 for each basket. Course, I am going to be smart about this, and make all the ornaments now, put them in archival paper and put them in a safe spot. I figure there is about 4 years worth of giving in those ornaments. Give 2-3 each year.

I will also be knitting beanies for my nephews (all 5 of them!!) and probably give them something like a game boy game or game cards with the hats. The pattern is the one on the web for the London Beanie. I can usually knit a hat in a day or less. Busy busy busy. I really prefer making my gifts--always have. I have plans this coming year to knit silk/alpaca scarves for everyone, well for the ladies at least. Meant to do it this year, but time just got away, so I will probably start that in January. And if I have time, I will probably knit a pair of slipper socks for my dad and for my dh.

Whew! LOL probably more then you wanted to know!

Well, I'm back from my doctor's appointment-it was terrible! I have a new doctor (since we moved) and I walked out of there crying, I was so upset. They jumped all over me about not wanting to get a flu shot, then they were concerned that I didn't want a pap smear today, grr!

I went in to get a referral to a specialist-they were okay with that. But I asked about getting something to help with the horrible acne I've been having and they want to do some sort of spa treatment. When I asked if my insurance would cover them, the answer was, "Maybe-well, I think so." Think so? At $350 a pop, I am not having one until I see it in writing! Then, she said she'd put my on an antibiotic. When I questioned here about the misuse of antibiotics, she got all snippy with me. Did I mention that the NP mentioned putting me on Accutane even though I told them we were TTC? :

My poor husband had to hear me bawling on the phone about it. He said he'd get some recommendations for another doctor. I am switching as soon as I can! Hopefully, I can get an appointment with someone else soon.

Sorry about my rant, I just hate getting treated like that.

A supportive military wife and mama to my busy boy and sweet girl.

If the mysterious spot that cam on saturday was in fact implantatiom spotting when do yall think would be a good day to test? I have one frer and dh wont let me buy any more test he's convinced himself that I'm not preggo just broken like the last time. Hope to surprise him with good news soon also can anyone tell me if a ton of cm (creamy and watery and some eggwhite) would be a possible sign?

Good luck, Megin and Devonn. s about the doctor's appointment, Nicole. I've been falling into the fantasy of the Nice Doctors Who Make Everything All Better lately and between you and another friend I have greatly appreciated the reality checks drawing me back to being grateful for my good (well, adequate, anyway) health and that of my teenagers.

I'm still caught in my own private universe of self-involvement: no and no:bfp.

I still have one more Dollar Tree test I could save for POASaturday if doesn't show, I suppose.

Sigh. Negative tests still. I don't temp and chart, I just go by CM.... so I can't exactly pinpoint O. I had EWCM starting late on the 15th and going through the 18th. So I figure it's PROBABLY still too early to test, esp. if I O'ed on the 18th.

Sigh. I'm not good at waiting (but I feel silly complaining when so many of you have been TTC for SO long )

That is soooo my life!! Only my spot was yesterday! But same about the cm, tons of creamy.

So, I have a Vitex Question. I just picked some up, but I'm a unsure of what the correct dosage is. The bottle says 2-3 capsules a day for about 8 weeks, then go down to one a day. Does that seem right? Is there anything else I can do? This is my 1st cycle after bcp, and I'm a little discouraged about how much spotting has been going on this month. Also, on the off hand chance that I get preggos soon and not realize it right away, is Vitex safe to take in early pregnancy? Any info would be welcomed!

TIA!

So I asked a similar question in a different thread and got great info about taking vitex during pg. http://www.mothering.com/discussions...525000&page=25
As far as how much to take, the vitex has to build up in your body. That's why the instructions tell you to take more for a few months. I am taking 800mg a day to start and see where that takes me. I've seen people taking as much as 1500mg/day. I just wanted to take less in case I experienced any of the side effects, yk?

pnutS4us: I am a soapmaker too! Your soap is gorgeous, puts mine to shame (and mine is nice). I think you need to teach an online course on making beautiful soap. I will be the first on the sign-up list. Like the mocha latte; I don't know if I want to wash with it, eat it, or just put it on display. . . I think I want to eat it. All right, I could go on and on, but I'm gonna stop now, GORGEOUS!!!

YE GODS AND LITTLE FISHIES!!!!!!!!! the EPO and Flax Seed Oil are really doing their job . . . I don't think I've ever been so swimming in EWCM before! TMI, but like a serious glob No positive OPK yet, not even close to positive, but when DH called to ask if there was anything he could get on the way home, I said, "I can't think of anything . . . oh wait, I know something you can get when you get home!" and he said "What," thinking groceries or something, and I said "A little hot tail" LMAO
I could hear DH telling his best friend, laughing, that he's gettin' some tail tonight!
Tee hee, feeling giddy and silly.

Oh, and I TOTALLY know that this lady in my class is knocked up. She's trying to pass it off as an upset tummy, but she's been nibbling saltines and sipping gingerale for about a month now. I think that tummy bug is more of a tummy bun LOL

Dude, feeling totally silly tonight.

OMG I could have typed your post word for word! Literally! That's so weird!!

I just bought another mountain of dollar tree tests & have tried 2 FRERs just to be sure. I have no symptoms of pregnancy though. And I'm TOTALLY frustrated & down & want to be pg but feel like a total idiot for complaining when we've only been seriously trying for one month!

When I dropped DP off at the train this morning he said "OK, I'm going to work now. How about you work on being pregnant today?"

CONGRATULATIONS Emma's_Mammy & Cujobunny!!

I'm so glad that I have you ladies to come to after a day like today. I thought it would be a great day since I didn't have to work. But I have been so up and down emotionally that my mom is starting to think I'm nuts and she says that if I start to cry again she is going to have me checked out. My boobs are starting to get on my nerves; ds still nurses to sleep at night, I'm possitive he doesn't get much if any at all but lately he has been nursing longer before drifting off and I've been leaking sparticly for the past few days. : I don't want to say anything to my mom though because she will tell my stepdad and it will all go down hill from there because my stepdad told me last month that me getting pg again would hurt the whole family and not just me. So here I sit greatful to have a group like you guys to vent to.

pnutS4us your soaps look good enough to eat. I think I just found what I want for christmas, I'd love to be able to make my own soaper. Do tell your secrets.

Whoa, 1st on the page!

Oh, I have a very dumb question that I know I should know. Can one assume that she ovulated about 14 days before the 1st day of AF? Like, if I start AF on Dec 1st, can I assume that I O'd sometime around Nov 15th? That is, if I am ovulating.

Unfortunately not. The first part of your cycle can totally vary in length. For some folks it's 14 days, for others 12, for others 20. And it could change with different cycles. It's the luteal phase that's pretty stable at around 14 days after you ovulate. So, that doesn't give you much insight, but hopefully it can help you to hold out hope for a while longer...

Mommy-X, I'm with you on the stupid hormones. I've been crying at the stupid/littlest things today. Something has to be wrong with me because now I'm craving milk, I don't drink milk because I'm lactose intolerant, the only other times I've craved milk is when I was pg with ds.

Oh, well good then. That's exactly what I was asking! I said if I were to begin AF on Dec 1st for example, could I assume that I O'd around Nov 15th.

I ask because I want to see if I'm pinpointing O correctly. I thought I O'd around the 15th, but if I don't start AF anytime soon then I guess I can safely assume that I'm wrong. RIght?:

Thanks!
