Okay, it's too late, I'm already excited....I think I might be getting my first ppaf! Two weeks ago I had ovulation pains for a few hours, and now I've been crampy all morning. I hope this is it!! We'd love to start TTC!! I noticed yesterday that my hands were really retaining water too.

For those nursing mamas who have gotten their ppaf, what was the first one like? What symptoms did you have? Hopefully soon enough I'll be worrying about pg symptoms instead! :LOL

yahoo! I hope that's the case. that would get you right on track for your summer conceived baby.

my first ppaf was 3 months after ds was born, then nothing for a month, and then back on course. i think that first one was anovulatory and then my body took longer to o after that resulting in the one month lapse.

Mama to 12, and 9 and 3.

I got my first ppaf 11 days ago. Emma is almost 9 months. I knew something was up because mid-April, I had a cramp on one side and I cramped a bit before I started. Once I started, I didn't have cramps. AF was a doozer for the first 2 days. Maybe this is TMI, but I was soaking through a tampon every hour. I ruined several pairs of perfectly good undies. My midwife was a bit concerned about the amount of bleeding, but it started to slow down on the evening of the 2nd day.

Good luck to you!!

Oceanone, thanks for your support! Wow, first ppaf 3 months pp...I wish! :

Terri, I'm excited for you--and glad the bleeding slowed down. Good luck TTC!

Still no AF today, but I'm still hopeful. My cycles were always really really long pre-pg (48+ days, got it down to 33 days with EPO), though I was hoping they'd be shorter now. I'm still exclusively breastfeeding (no solids), and I don't want to rush the solids (was thinking of starting at 12 months), but eventually we might decide to start them to help things along a bit. Aggghhh.
