ff is dumb. Sometimes it gives you triphasic and you're like, huh? And when it's clearly that, it doesn't say anything. I think you're looking good ocean!

We'd talked about affirmations a while back, have any of you actually printed them off and pasted them around your areas? I did, and it really helped me stay positive these last few months(for the most part lol)

I need to print my affirmations off-I think that will really help me. Do you mind sharing some of yours, Jill? (And others who have done them.) I can always use inspiration!

I use the link that tara gave. My favorite is "I am whole, I am well, I am empowered" I put that on a distressed b&w pic of a pregnant woman in printshop, and it sits by the computer.

Hmmm, well today I'm cramping so either AF will be here soon or maybe just maybe . . . I can't even say it yet. I'm about 9dpo if I O'd when I think I did based on cm, so that's the shortest lp I've had, usually it's 10. AF may be showing up in the next couple of days. I didn't use the progesterone cream this cycle, just too much of a hassle and with me not knowing for sure when I o'd, I didn't want to risk it. I'm still taking the B6, though.

Okay jilly I moved you! Hoping for doubling!

I haven't been on as much because work sucks right now. Hubby and I are looking for a place to live but without much success. I'm not in the area so I can't really do much and my hubby is really busy with work this week so cannot accomplish anything on the home front.

Sorry I'm such a :

At what point would you see a Reproductive Endocrinologist?

While we've been actively TTC for only six months, we haven't done anything previously to stop conception. (I had the two m/c last year before we 'officially' decided to TTC.) I'm 36 and am wondering if I have it in me to conceive again. I've been seeing a acupuncturist that specializes in fertility issues since November and while it does relax me, I'm not sure it's working to help me conceive. DH is gently suggesting we step things up.

I'm afraid this would be me on clomid ------>

WWYD?

mamamerle - The general guideline for ladies over 35 years old, you should pursue testing at 6 months of trying. So if you feel emotionally ready to see an RE, I think you should go for it!
The RE might or might not put you on Clomid. I've seen an RE and Clomid wasn't even brought up since my charts demonstrate that I ovulate regularly and all the blood tests I've had have come back normal (for now I'm a medical mystery).

Please take me off the bfp list. My betas didn't double. Only went from 50 to 73.

And to add more to my pain, my doctor won't give me more clomid until July, to allow my "body to heal" as he said. I can't get pg without clomid, and don't know what to do. The prospect of waiting until then, and then not getting pg for a few months, well it's more than I can bear. What do you guys think? I'm trying desperately to find a new doctor that will let me try.

Oh Jill, I'm so sorry! Hugs to you!! I personally would find someone else, but there will be some that tell you to give yourself time to heal. I've been there where you are. I hope you find some peace.

Oh, Jill-I am so, so sorry! :

As far as continuing with the Clomid and a different doctor, I would take a couple days to think it over. I mean, it's really your decision. I don't know much about Clomid-are there any medical/physical reasons you might not want to take it for an extended period of time? Or perhaps your doctor really just wants you to have a break? If it's true medical/physical reasons, then I'd probably wait in order to give my body the best chance possible. If it's just because the doctor says break and you totally want to continue, then I'd find another doctor.

Let us know if you need anything.

I will set up an appt with an re tomorrow after my results. The secretary even gave me her home number. wub.gif Get this....he's actually CHEAPER than the ob I'm going to now! I really liked who I talked to and it sounds like they really know what they are talking about. I called three clinics and ALL said that I don't have to wait to try more than like a month. So we'll take this next cycle off, try on our own(which will be futile of course) and see this eugene dude the first week of april. The sucky part is that they are 1-2 hours away. Oh well I guess.

and nicole, this was only my third cycle on clomid, so I haven't been on it all that long.

thanks everyone. I'm feeling a bit better. People keep telling me it's ok to mourn. I do, just all at once(last night) and then my way of coping is to move on. I can't do anything, and this baby will always be special, but I want to ensure the next baby sticks around, you know? I hate being expected to be sad for weeks. That just isn't me.

I just hope the m/c will hurry up and get here. I've got a schedule to keep for God's sake!

God this is frustrating! My beta doubled. Went from 73 to 157. Ob said he would have liked to see it MORE than double by a bit, and that it still doesn't look good. I wanted it to go down so that the m/c would come sooner. I don't know what to feel! What do you guys think?
Betas:
14dpo: 50
16dpo:73
18dpo: 157

That's hard, Jill. I have heard that someone women don't have the numbers double completely in 48 hours, but in 72 hours they do. So, I guess it's still possible that you aren't going to miscarry. I hope that's the case with you. Good luck and I hope the numbers keep rising and you have a healthy baby in there.

thanks tami.

The first set of numbers the doubling time was like 3.66days of around 87 hours, pretty long.

This time it was 1.81 days, or around 44 hours. Guess we'll see on sunday.

Well, I'm out, AF arrived this morning. Bummer. Since I O'd early, AF is early as well. So, I suppose this means I'm actually still in for a 2007 baby, but just barely. Good luck to all the rest of you mama's hoping for a Dec baby.

Tara - Oops, I guess my math was wrong. All fixed.

jilly - How interesting. Maybe the baby was just working on things slowly between day 14 and 16. : for a great outcome!

My hubby came home this weekend and we got some possible BD in. I haven't been temping but I'm considering pulling out the thermometer for this week so I'll know when I O. Once my temp goes up, it'll go back in the drawer. Hm.

thanks. I'm trying so hard to be hopeful, but my ob's words keep ringing in my ears "not a good chance" "probably a weird hcg surge" I had a huge pain getting my blood drawn today(doc forgot to fax the order on friday grrr) but did, and will call in the morning for the results.

God this sucks. Do you guys know anything about hcg numbers? here's how they've been:
14dpo:50
16dpo:73
18dpo: 157
20dpo: 439 (great i know)

Still kind of low. My new re is having me do a repeat hcg tomorrow along with a prog. test and giving me an u/s a week from tomorrow. She said that maybe the levels were slow due to low progesterone(which i of course have) but that most of the women she's seen with lower levels tend to m/c, but not to give up hope. God, and I have to endure a possible 8 more weeks of biting my nails?! So what do you guys think about the numbers? You're the experts.
