I felt the same way before I went to my first RE appointment. Fact of the matter is that it may never happen 'the old-fashioned way'. There is nothing wrong with getting help for something you want.

WOOHOO, congrats again, Kelly!!

angel1895~hmm, no scientific proof, but the baby I miscarried was conceived just after Thanksgiving (O'd on Nov 30th) and trust me, I had plently to drink over the holiday weekend-which was probably what contributed to the conception as we were TTA at the time, lol! Have fun (both at the party and with the BDing, )

Kate
Kate, I don't think it is wrong to hope that, I totally understand! However, as I'm sure you're well aware, you could always have something happen that wouldn't be in your ideal plan, like your 2nd dc's birth. If that happened again, how would that leave you? Would that do more harm than you could fix without years and years of more therapy? Would it cause to to harm ill feelings toward your 3rd child? Would you feel disappointment that carries over into how you unintentionally interact with you baby?
Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just trying to possibly see it from your therapist's POV.
I know it's hard when people toell you to make sure you're having a baby for the "right" reasons (I get that myself!) but I think in this case, you need to be aware of that. I'm sure you are, and I kind of feel bad writing all this, but I'm just playing Devil's Advocate for a minute.
That said, I, and I'm sure the other women here will support you in whatever you choose. And, if you do choose to TTC, I hope it's short and sweet for you and that you get your healing birth!

Momma! Let us know what you decide!

So with today's HIGHEST TEMP ever... My O date was moved with solid crosshairs.. so I think I do have a chance afterall!! The analyzer went from low to good. And my test date was moved to my Anniversary day instead of 2 days before it!

Excellent, Mamazon!! It feels better when you have a little hope.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to discard the outlying high temp pre-O for me. If I discard, my chart is ever so much prettier, and lines up with the day that I felt most O-ish. But I don't want to play around with it for the sake of tricking myself into thinking I have a chance when really I don't.

I'm testing on my anniversary, too, unless AF shows. 10 more days!

I'm pretty sure my late O last month was due to just coming off Nuvaring. FF pegs my O date this month at the same -- CD18, but I'm sure it will be earlier. It used to be cd14. I'm cd10 right now. Should I start doing the guaifenesin now or wait? I've read people take somewhere around 400mg. What time of day?

Changes Made To Here

Another BFN this morning. I'm beginning to really think I'm only 8DPO and I'll act accordingly. So no more testing for me for another week.

That O date makes more sense w/ the OPKs and CM/CP. Now we're not cycle day buddies -oh well, just as long as you have the best chance this cycle, I'm happy Good Luck, I hope you have a lot to celebrate on your anniversary!!

In all honesty you have expressed every doubt that I have already had but the fact is my previous birth experience did affect my bonding with ds, but at the same time him breastfeeding and co-sleeping with me helped me heal and start to come to terms with his birth. The fact of the matter (and it's the same for almost everyone if not everyone) every birth I learn a little bit more about myself and birth. If it wasn't for that birth I probably wouldn't have ever been motivated enough to become a doula or consider being a midwife. I also never really had a good vibe with my ob and had a horrible vibe whenever we went to the hospital, so what I am going to do is try to avoid all of that we having a homebirth. It helped to hear someone else voice those doubts so that they became more real and maybe I can address them. Right now though I am going to go with my instincts and continue to TTC. Thank you for your reply and support, I really do appreciate it.

I know.. I did a search for other charts like mine and all the +opk were a day or so before O and whatever cramping I had Monday still boggles me.. it hit me out of no where and then was gone but I did have the regular O pain Tue and Wed so we'll see..

Dh will be at work anyway so I would have to tell him over the phone or wait till Wed when he gets home.
