Ok, So my chart went triphasic, and normally today my temp would have dropped. It didn't, it stayed up (higher actually). I feel *over heated* if you will. NO AF yet, and temp up, but BFN's every single day. I guess my question is, on what day would/should you get a bfp on a triphasic chart....?

What other reason would my temp still be up if I'm getting AF?

TIA

For one thing it depends how sensitive your HPT is. On the most sensitive ones sometimes you can get a positive 9-10 days after ovulation. That's about as early as possible, and there's still a lot of false negatives up until about 18 days post ovulation.

ya, what she said....

A sensitive test should get a BFP at about 10-12 dpo....less sensitive ones can be neg until 16-18 dpo......

I was asking that very same question last week! I had a triphasic chart, and kept getting bfn's. Eventually AF arrived According to FF, other factors such as stress can cause a triphasic chart (which I think was the reason in my case). But I hope yours turns out to be the real thing!

Thanks for the replies ladies. We've actually been TTC for a while now (Um, 26 months, during which time I got pregnant and carried to term and she passed away due to a tight nuchal cord, and 8 months later got pregnant again and had a miscarriage, and now nothing again) So I've been "charting" for 9 months but trying much much longer than that. I've only had one other triphasic chart during this time period, and on the 3rd day or when FF actually called it triphasic, my temps dropped the very next day and AF showed up. Today is the 4th day of *higher* temps than before and AF was supposed to show today.

Now, I either need that bfp to show, or AF damn it. I'm going tomo to the RE and we're doing clomid, gonal-f, and HCG trigger shot this cycle OH and IUI.

BTW, I do have 3 wonderful children that I'm Thank God for every single day.

Thanks again ladies!!!

Are you supplementing progesterone? That will cause temps to rise!

I never got the message from FF but I got a BFP at 9dpo. And just because it is triphasic doesn't always mean pregnancy. I do hope you get a bFP though! :

Stelli That's good to know, nice chart.

Jezzy Your chart still looks superb, good luck to you too.

Thanks everyone else. My temp dropped this morning and I'm having cramps. So I figure I'm out. I think FF was off by a day on O. I think we're just gonna stop TTC'ing. I have 2 more refills of clomid that I'm NOT going to take and I have an unopen box of 75Iu gonal-f injections that I'm going to sell. The RE today told me that she's not ready to help me. Since I was pregnant 6 months ago (m/c) and then 8 months before that (still birth at term) that I'm very fertile and she just can't ethicly assist me with infertility even tho we've been trying for #4 for over 2 years. She just doesn't see it that way. So I just want life to be normal again. I'll still check on you guys tho.

Love ~Teneal
