Oh my gosh, I am sooooo co-dependent on everyone here during the two week wait. Thanks in advance for putting up with my questions.

So all day I've just been feeling preg... especially because of abdominal cramps and tender breasts.

So I took the only test I had - an OPK. And it turned out positive!? What does that mean?? :

Go ahead and get a HPT and take it. A + OPK after ovulation can mean the same thing as a + HPT test. : for you!

What is happening?

This is truly the craziest cycle ever. I am so hopeful that the positive OPK is a sign that a BFP is soon to come.

Hopefully I can get a real test tomorrow.

In the meantime, does anyone here have experience using an OPK as an HPT?

Well, I managed to find an Internet Cheapie test I had hidden under my bathroom sink. I used it this morning and got a BFN. :

I used the same FMU on an OPK and it turned positive. :

My temp was really high last night (high for me - over 99) and I had night sweats all night. I temped at 3:00 am and it was 98, I temped again at 5:00 (closer to usual time) and it had dropped down to 97.5. ??

What do you all make of this? I swear that tonight after work I'll pick up some real pregnancy tests. I'm 11 DPO today by the way.

Get a FRE or an Answer test. Those are fairly cheap and more acurate at the early DPO. With 2 + OPKs and those temps, I'd say it is likely you are pregnant.

I got a positive with an OPK at 13dpo: a faint, faint, faint line with an internet cheapie at 10dpo, proper line with an internet cheapie at 12dpo (pm, not FMU.)
I think you're pregnant too

I just started to get some spotting, which makes me think my period is about to start. : : : :

If it starts today, that means my LP was only 10 days - it has been 13 in every other cycle since Janurary when we started ttc. Do I have the wrong O date?

And what is with these positive OPKs?

Oh, I'm so sad. I really thought we had it this time.

You could definitely still be pregnant. I ALWAYS got spotting for a day or 2 before AF. Always. The cycle I got pregnant, I spotted just like normal (lots!) and I thought for sure AF was on her way. But...she wasn't...instead my baby Jackson was on his way!

It could be implantation spotting. If AF isn't due for 3 days you still have hope. Hang in there.

Your temp drop could be an implantation dip and the spotting could be implantation too! : Sounds pretty promising!!!! GL and keep us posted!

Oh, you guys are so sweet and supportive. Thank you so much.

How can I tell the difference between a light period and spotting? So far, I only see some blood when I wipe, and it isn’t a whole lot but it is red.

My second question is if this is my period, can you chart stalkers look and my chart and see an alternative day when I may have ovulated? I’m not expecting my period until Friday and my luteal phase has always been very consistent, so I am assuming my O day must be wrong.

I do have cramps that are AFish, so I bet this is the beginning of my period. I just can’t figure out why I got two positive OPKs… and why my period is so early?!

Must! Not! Get! Depressed!

Thanks again for looking and saying such encouraging words.

all the input i have is that it looks like you did some good baby dancing, so i would guess that even if your O-day is wrong, you still have a pretty good chance.... do keep us posted.

My spotting is really red, and I am 95% sure this is my period. I think this cycle is over.

Of course, now the first day on my new cycle as a positive OPK, so FF is predicting I will ovulate on CD 1-3. Um.... that can't possibly be right, can it? And why would I have a 10 day LP when I always have a 13 day LP? This has been a weird cycle for me with sickness and whatnot... should I delete this one from FF so it doesn't screw up my FF data and predictions?

What should I do?

I am officially depressed. Anyone have some chocolate?

Thanks, guys, for being so supportive.

Sounds kind of like a chemical pregnancy, but it's so hard to be sure. I'd take the info out of FF, it is too easily confused.

My temp has dropped down quite a bit this morning. The weird thing is that my period has already ended. So... it was like a 20 hour light period.

If my temp wasn't so low, I'd suspect this could be good news. But I think I either had a chemical pregnancy, or maybe didn't ovulate last cycle.

*sigh* What are you gonna do?

Hmm that doesn't sound like a period...could be "midcycle" bleeding perhaps? I can understand why you are frustrated!

Did you take an actual pregnancy test??? It might be worthwhile to do so, especially since you usually have a 13 day LF in your cycle.... It might be negative, but it might not, too.... I'm an optimist, I know!
