I have been taking Vitex in a tincture for several months and for the last week my middle has been sort of, uh, expanding. (No, it's not donuts! tee hee--I've actually been doing all of the right things health-wise) Anyone have experience with Vitex and water retention?

There is a chance that I may be pregnant (35 dpo??) but not highly likely! Testing for that again tomorrow.

I didn't have that side effect, but I took it in capsules. I'm convinced it helped me get my BFP though!

Wait, you are 35 DPO?? You ovulated 35 days ago and haven't had af show up?

When did you last take an HPT?

MyZymurgy--

the last hpt was about 6 days ago. the thing that makes it challenging is that i haven't had af yet since i was pregnant with dd. the vitex/ginseng/licorice tincture has leveled out my FSH now to pre-pregnancy levels so it is possible that i could have o'd and implanted...but unlikely! (ok...but i am still obsessing a little)

Oh, I got ya -- so you could either be 35 DPO or still waiting to O, right? It would seem unlikely, but not impossible, to not get an accurate HPT at 35 DPO. But maybe you ovulated later than you think.

I don't know about the bloating and vitex specifically. But I do know that I get some bloating right around ovulation time (which makes me feel oh-so-sexy just in time for BDing) so maybe you are Oing now.

I think bloating is a common response to a lot of things. Be sure to drink a lot of water, because dehydration can cause bloating too (believe it or not!)

Good luck!!
