No reason that I can think of for the suddenly-consistent temps. That's why I sort of wonder if my body is gearing up to O now, although my CM is way more sparse now than it was a few days ago. Every so often I'll see some stretchy stuff but it's mostly not fertile CM.

I'm new to this thread.....but I have a question. Does anyone else here believe that charting with good old fashioned pen and paper is better than FF or similar on-line tools? :

I just don't trust the on-line tools as much as I trust my own eyes!

I don't necessarily think it's better (but then I'm new to charting), but I am too lazy to switch a computer on It does feel more "in control" though to write it down, and it gives me some time to spend thinking about my body. I don't see any solutions to my problems online either. So keep on handwriting! :

I keep a chart on paper and I have FF. I like having it on paper 'cause I can make notes of things my basic FF membership doesn't allow for. It also allows me to analyze it over and over when I'm not in front of a computer - okay maybe this isn't a good thing

Songbird - I still thinks its possible you have already O'd and maybe that's why your temps have evened out. For me, I often have a gradual rise after O and not a sudden jump and your last few temps seem to be heading upwards. Although if you are at all in doubt I would keep BDing.

I don't rely on the computer's analysis 100% but I like having it on the computer because then I can get multiple opinions if the computer's analysis doesn't match my own (like now!) or if it's sort of unclear to me what's going on. Also it takes care of a lot of the busywork involved in charting.

For those of you who chart on paper, where do you get charts? Do you just use graph paper or is there some place you can download charts?

My temp was finally over last cycle's coverline!!! I'm DEFINITELY sure I've ovulated now, although I'm not sure if it was yesterday or if FF's interpretation is correct. FF's interpretation gives me better bd timing, and if it was yesterday we probably missed the egg this time around.

I ovulated!! Woohoo!! Now I can relax and enjoy the 2WW - okay, that's not likely to happen, but I'm still excited!

I hope so! I'm glad I'm charting, because with how late O was I would have definitely tested for pregnancy by now! And Dh and I could NOT have handled 39 days of bd every other day! Gillian, I will definitely relax and enjoy the tww! Waiting to O you have to worry about fitting bd into your schedule. In the tww you can watch your chart develop, AND you know pretty much when the tww will end! (Barring a particularly weird cycle).

And I have to say that I'm very relieved that I actually did ovulate. By the time O actually comes I get pretty worried about being infertile.

I am the same way. The week before I am to o I am more stressed than during the 2ww! I worry that we will miss the egg or I will not realize I am o'ing until after my temp rises. Once I know I o'ed and our timing was decent I feel like I breathe a sigh of relief.

my body seems to be so confused! thurs and fri i had ewcm and my cervix was soft and open. normally i would be happy about that, but it was only cd8 & cd9, and my temps are still down at pre-O levels. oh well! my dad came out this week and helped us totally overhaul our landscaping. i've been doing back breaking maunal labor every day this week, so i've been too tired to BD. today's the last day of the work though, so maybe dh and i will have some time to get to work on this baby!

CounterGOPI: Does your DH have low sperm count? If not I would say there is no prob with BDing today! , Im not sure you Oed yet...maybe, but you should keep BDing cause I wouldnt by any means call it "confirmed". Good luck, and I hope you know soon!

As for me...still just waitin!!!

Yea, I think if your temp stays high, then I wouldnt worry about have EWCM after O. I would think that you Oed on CD15, but I wouldnt quit Bding until you get a few more high temps! I just wouldnt want you to miss it just incase you get a BIG temp jump tomarrow:
As for 24 hour recharge...I think thats how long it takes to "fully" recharge, but unless you are dealing with low sperm count, I dont think theres any problem with a 10 or 12 hour recharge.

CounterGOPI - I just posted about this on the 2WW thread. I am having the exact same problem. I am (supposedly) 2 dpo, but I just noticed some ewcm AND a little trace of red spotting. So, I am now freaking out. I have a very clear temp spike so I'm not sure how it is possible that I am just ovulating now. I am hoping and praying that maybe it just took 2 days for this to make its way out. Maybe?
This is soooo frustrating!!!

Hi everyone-I'm just joining this thread.

AF just ended, and DH and I are going to start TTC #2. Hopefully we get preggo right away. For now, I'm not charting or anything, we're just going to DTD every other day, and hope we get lucky. Here's hoping we all get preggo soon!

Last Monday of the month!

Name: Songbird
Date: July 30
Where are you at in your cycle: CD 49, either 10dpo or no O, depending on chart interpretation.
Appointments: None. I said I was going to find a doc but just haven't gotten to it.
Symptoms if they apply: I'm no longer seeing stretchy CM.
Testing: Not for a while.
Thoughts: My chart has been confusing me. Every day I alternate between thinking I've ovulated and I've not. Yesterday I was sure I hadn't, today I'm thinking maybe I did, again. If I have, it'll mean I spent the whole TWW trying to figure out if I O'd instead of obsessing about symptoms!

Where are you at in your cycle: cd12, no O yet, hopefully this week though
Appts: none yet, if i have another 8-9 day LP, i will be making an appt with the doc
Symptoms: not a one
Testing: gotta see when i O before i start thinking about that
Thoughts: i'm so hopeful that my LP will be longer. last cycle was my first after i quit EPing:, so i'm hoping that this one will actually be normal. DH is usually in the "let's just let nature take it's course" camp when it comes to TTC, but this cycle he's even agreed to "try". i'm really hoping it works, cause the last 2 cycles our timing has been good, but it didn't seem to make a difference, since the LPs were way too short.

Monday Check-In

Date: 7/30/07
Cycle Day: cd 13
Appointments: None
Symptoms: None
Testing: I was going to be really conscientious about the OPKs, but it's been a rough, busy month. I'll use one later today.
Thoughts: My DH is still in the "let nature take its course camp," too. I'm in a weird, difficult place at work right now, and everything would feel so much better if I could just be pregnant and have that to focus on. Pregnancy is worth all the anxiety and effort. I could put up with anything if I knew that the payoff was as valuable and worthwhile as having a baby. DH understands how frustrated I am with my job, but he still thinks I should relax and just let things happen.

N,: Wife and Wannabe AP Mamma. 11/08. 9/09. Wishing for a , but wondering if I should.

Monday Check in:
Name:Jenn
Date: 7/30/07
Where are you at in your cycle: 7dpo
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: tender breast, cranky
Testing: not for a few more days
Thoughts: I hate mornings!!!

Yesterday I had a big time drop in my temp. Then, today it shot back up higher than it was before the drop. So I'm hopeful that it is a implantation dip. I guess we will wait and see what the next few days of temps will tell. I hate waiting on this kind of stuff. It's like Christmas every month.
