I'm contemplating testing. I'm only 3 days past my period, and I highly doubt I'm pregnant, because of fertility problems. But I keep thinking about it. : Am I just getting my hopes up? How long after a missed period would you test?

If you're late, you should be able to get a definitive answer from an HPT now. Go test!!!!

Actually with the newer tests like Answer Early and First Responce Early Result you can test up to 4 days and in some cases up to 6 days before your miss your period. So you can test any time now with those tests and be resonably sure to get a accurate result.

I would have tested 3 days ago, honestly, but I'm the type who has to KNOW immediately. If your cycle is regular and you are fairly certain you ovulated at least 14 days ago a pregnancy test should give you an accurate result. Good luck!

Maybe I'll go get a test. I don't even keep them in the house!

I tested when I was 4 days late, of course I didn't think I ovulated this cycle so that's why I waited so long. It was immediately positive.
