I'm still here just in lurking mode.....I'm not charting anymore and just trying to take it easy and enjoy my little ones. Hopefully when the universe is ready to bless me with a new soul it will happen. I'm just BD'ing pretty regularly and hoping for the best.

I'm pretty sure I O'd on Sunday night. Move me to 2ww please. I'm upset because we did not BD on O day. My OPK never turned positive but all other signs point to O. I do not, however, temp. My cm is very sticky now and cervix is tightly closed. On Sunday I had ewcm and open cervix. I'm baffled as to why I never got a positive OPK. That never happened before. However, this is the first time I'm coming off HBC in 12 years.

2WW sucks

Hey nursing mamas!!! Its Janurary!!! A new year! I'm kinda bummed I wasn't pg ln 07' like pg every year!! But this month is very different! I am + about this month! Some people know the exact minute, they convieve! Conscience conception, Intuition, universal signs of a new soul being born. Some strange things are happening here! I have a yeast infection really mild and almost gone but still in the 2ww that can't be good! Or maybe its a sign of a hormonal shift, I have heard of this! Anyway I am doing things differently and am feeling + whether or not I am pg. We are trying to give up nursing at night now (just to go down for bed, Dakota has been night weaned for a month) then we will be down to just one feeding a day (naptime) I am hoping this will speed things up a bit. I want to keep the naptime nursing until he is 2 or older. I really feel things this month! Like some new energy in cirulating! I just feel like if we can address our fears of not becomming pg again the true scared to death fear, then we can let it go and move on. I addressed those fears and feel like I can move on, and I feel lighter! I hope Jan is a good month for us all!!

Kleine Hexe: I would keep testing with opk's. . . sometimes it takes a little longer and your body will have some false starts, and you maybe having a longer cycle. I would keep testing so you don't miss a possible window! the egg can surivie for 24hrs and sperm up until 5 days? I have heard of even longer in favorable conditions. It just means you maybe having a girl Also on peeonastick.com there is a section on opk's and an artlicle a woman wrote about is how you CAN miss your LH surge. it IS possible, I would trust your body and your intuition on this one! You should check out the website though it's very informative.

HTH!!

Ok ladies another thing I was thiinking about. . The other moms that seem to get pg right away aren't "trying" In a sense well granted yes some poeple trying do get LUCKY and get pg right away but for us trying we are tracking and charting and what have you but for others who aren't paying attention get pg but its not like its right away its that they just got lucky. kwim? my husband just brought his up, I couuld be not tryiing for 7mo and get pg and think that I got pg right away becuase I wasn't trying!! Does this make any sense???!!!

I so feel the frusteration. But knowing that every womans body does the same thing to get pg helps. Like I'm defected its just I aware of ttc not that I'm tringg anyharder.

Mamas, I am just popping in to wish you all a wonderful start to 2008 and I hope to see a lot of January BFPs.

For those of you feeling discouraged, it WILL happen. For us, that was our 12th cycle ttc, and second cycle on vitex and 1st cycle using an organic natural progesterone cream.

With my closed cervix and very sticky cm there is no way I'm O'ing now. I'll keep checking and if those things change I'll use another OPK. I guess you casn miss a syrge but I was testing everyday at the same time. Also on Sunday (which is when I'm sure I O'd) I took more than one test because all my other signs were telling me I O'd. I don't know. Maybe I should test eariler in the day instead of 3? At any rate nothing to do now but wait.

Waiting to be ready
I'm new to the TTC forums, but we really want another baby, but only one PP AF so far, and that was on Oct. 14! (my sons 7 month bday). So since I have NO idea when it'll come again, I'll say we are waiting to be ready .
Currently Paul (my son) is still totally breastfed (no solids yet), so I'm guessing it'll be awhile, we plan to start solids at a year, unless he seems like he needs them before then. I seem to be one of those people who BFing is a good way to space kids! Looking forward to getting to know those here.

Hi! I've just started to TTC #2, and I'm new to the TTC forums too ... please put me in Waiting to O. I'm expecting to ovulate around the 5th.

A little bit about us: I'm 38, my DH is 44, and our son is almost 28 months old. He nurses twice a day (for a total of about 30 minutes) and is gradually weaning himself -- which makes me a little sad, but it's also a good time to TTC #2. I got my period back a year ago, when he was 14 months old and still nursing five to seven times a day, including at least once at night.

When AF returned my cycles were almost immediately very regular, back to their same old 28-day length. I have a short luteal phase (the cycle before I conceived it was only seven days long!), and even now it's only nine or ten days long.

I'm happy to be here with you all, and I am sure that many of us will get the new year's present we're hoping for!

Well this may be my last month on this thread as I think DS has weaned completely. I have mixed emotions about it since I was ready for him to wean. I'll miss the closeness though. Not sure how I feel about it yet.

Please move me to Waiting to O

I thought I'd O earlier in the cycle, but didn't. I'm hoping for a temp rise tomorrow, but I've been hoping for one for the last two weeks. Currently on CD31.

DH is really getting a workout this month. 3 or 4 false starts so far = lots of BD!
We've done it more this month than the last six months combined!

Waiting to be ready here! I'm still waiting for PPAF!! Any ideas on how to get fertility to return sooner? My DD just turned 1. And I'm new to all of the TTC temping & stuff. I've just been surprised with my pregnancies so far.

Thanks!

Please move me to Waiting to O!!!

AF returned as of Jan 1 and there was a definite temp shift before that, so I FINALLY O'd!!!

Don't know how long my LP was since the actual temp shift was burried in high temps due to fever, DH jacking the thermostat during a cold snap and sleeping in during the holidays.

I'm kind of bummed that I didn't catch the first PP eggie, but TTC will be soooo much easier with a cycle! : Its not all wacky!!!

to you all!!

Hi everyone! I'm still here in the waiting to O category. We just got back from spending 12 days in CA with the in-laws. Not much opportunity for BD'ing.

I'm on CD4 and I think AF is winding down. I'm thinking about trying OPK's for the first time ever. Ds wakes up a zillion times during the night to nurse, so my temps are very unreliable.

Where do you all get your OPK's from? Are there good deals online?
When do you start using them? Sorry for all the questions, but I really don't know much about them!

Good luck to everyone and hopefully January is our month!

Hi ladies! I'm new to posting on Motherhood, but I've been lurking for awhile. I was posting on the ttc 20's thread, but after reading I think this is where I belong! Please put me in the waiting to be ready list.

My story...I'm 26, and my dd is 18 months old and nurses 2x a day. She just recently cut out her daytime session, and only nurses first thing in the a.m. and right before bed. I got af back about 9 months ago. My cycles have been CRAZY ever since, some are 21 days, some close to 30. My LP was super short, but since I started taking B6 it has jumped from 9 days to 11-12 days. Last month FF said I had a 14 day LP, although I think my O date was wrong and it was really 12 days. We have been using NFP to prevent since dd was born, but now I think we are going to stop preventing within the next couple of months. If I'm not pg by April, we will be actively ttc.

I haven't even been temping for the last couple of weeks though, since I'm on break (I'm a teacher) and haven't been getting up/going to bed at normal times. I'm tempted to not start back up again, which will make it easier not to stress about it. I've just been going by cm, which is totally unreliable in my case anyway.

Sorry to ramble on...I am excited to get to know everyone and get on with ttc!

Ok, I couldn't wait, so I just ordered some OPK's on saveontests.com! I still need advise about when to use them.

I just did the math and my last cycle was only 25 days!! They have been averaging about 29-31 days. Should I be worried? I have not been temping this month, just keeping track of BD'ing and CF. oh man.....

Good luck

Do you guys find that interrupted sleep actually effects your waking temperature? Is that why so many women on this thread don't temp?

When we were TTC #1, I was always stressed out if I didn't get those four hours of uninterrupted sleep TCOYF claims you need to get an accurate temp. So I was really worried about it when I started charting again two cycles ago -- even though my son doesn't nurse at night, he still wakes up and needs help getting back to sleep. Or even if he doesn't wake me up, I have to get up and pee!

But despite night-wakings and that my waking time varies by about an hour from day to today, thankfully my temps still hold true and follow the classic pattern. (I use a regular digital thermometer under my tongue.) I wonder if I should be questioning the results, though.

I'm not the best one to answer this, as I've just started to temp again for the last 3 weeks. (First PPAF 12/3)

My temps have been pretty steady. I don't see why you need totally accurate temps - same time, 4 hrs sleep - when you're looking for a thermal shift. As long as your shift is at least a half of a degree and stays up, you'd be able to tell that you've O'd.

I haven't O'd yet and I'm on CD31, so I'm still waiting for the shift. When TTC DD, I also temped same time, 4 hrs + sleep.
