Updates made!

I also just finished going through the entire list and doing searches on people I haven't heard from. I still have to make the updates but I found 8 ladies who are pregnant but hadn't been moved yet, so I will do that tomorrow.

Yeah for the new thread!!!!

I just started tracking CM and CP this month and all I can say is poor, poor DH. I've had watery cm and have called him at work all excited for days in a row and told him to hurry home because I was sure it was eggwhite and now I'm obviously getting Eggwhite and I've been charting cp as HSO or HMO but now it's obviously open so here I am on the phone...."COME HOME NOW!!!.....I was wrong but now I think I'm right" I can see him doing this little number I don't know how he puts up with me I'm just learning here

In love with the Hubs (6-03) & : Kookie Pookie Girl (c/s 5-05) & Bouncy Big Boy (vbac 2-07) & : Miss Cheeky Cheeks (hbac 11-08) 100*90* 100lbs = Las Vegas : Almost there!

PookieMom - I am having the hardest time with my cp, I've been checking it for a couple months now but I still don't get it. Either my cervix is messed up or I have problems

My breasts hurt so bad, its not just the nipples this time. Its the whole breast, I can't even fall asleep on my tummy cause they hurt that bad.

I am also super tired. I woke up about an hour ago, ate an apple, took my prenatal and now I am ready to go back to bed. I POAS yesterday with a Dollar Tree test but I got one of those duds, it was all kinds of messed up.

I refuse to test again until Tuesday morning. I am even having DH hide the tests.

Hey Gillian, thanks for the awesome March thread!! You could put Summer in parenthesis next to my name. Thank ye.

I have a really hard time checking my cp. I can tell when it gets higher, but it always seems sort of medium, most of the time anyway. It hardly ever feels soft, and I have no idea what the opening is doing. So I just sort of try my best.

I'm the same... it's hard to remember exactly where it was before, so I always end up making a guess, really. Last cycle I could tell it was closed and then opened a bit when I ovulated (or at least when I thought I did), but position is a bit harder.

MrsMiller, I hope those sore boobs are a good sign!

Aly, Happy birthday!

PookieMom, yay for EWCM! I'm still waiting to see that stuff in real life, but I'm hoping this cycle!

Me: I'm still spotting from AF (at CD10!!) just a little bit of dark brown liquidy fluid every day. Enough to need a pantyliner and then have to replace it once. Ug.

We also got a referral yesterday for an REI specialist. DH's SA was bad enough that my OB/Gyn thought we needed to move on to IUI right away. We can't get an appointment in time for this cycle, but hopefully soon. I've been calling all over and most of them won't take new patients for a few months at least, though I think they look again when I say we're paying out of pocket (our insurance doesn't cover ANYthing related to infertility).

I'm reading "How to get pregnant" which is by an REI who does nothing but IVF, and he is super down on everything except IVF, which I know is because he's trying to promote his business, but it's getting me discouraged. DH keeps trying to get me to stop reading it! So I came back to the computer! Okay, I have to empty the dishwasher now... that will get my mind off of this, right??

I am pretty sure I am not pregnant, especially with the cramps I have been having today. Oh well, onto cycle number 5 I guess.

Updates Made!

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who has problems with cervix checking. It seems like it should be so obvious - high/low, soft/firm, open/closed, but I just don't really notice any differences! I get the high/low most of the time (well, actually most of the time it's middle and the odd time it's higher than normal or lower than normal), but my cervix always feels open, and is either firm or firmer. I read somewhere that 'soft' should feel like your cheek, and I don't think it's ever felt that soft.

biomama - That sounds so frustrating. I'm dreading reaching the point where we need to get testing - which is quickly approaching. I agree the doctor is probably just big on his specialty. Lots of women do IUI, and I'm sure they wouldn't if it weren't successful. I hope you are able to get an appointment really soon!

I'm so glad cervical position is up for discussion. For those of you who've had a baby - does your cervix ever feel closed? I think my cervix is always some version of open - moreso when I'm ovulating, of course, but it never really feels what I imagine would be considered "closed".

My DD was a gigantic baby, so maybe she took a toll on it?

I think that 'closed' for a woman who has had a baby is different than for one who has not... IIRC, even TCOYF references that fact. I just consider mine 'closed' when it is more closed than 'open' or the 'in-between stage' that, by default, must be medium.

In Taking Charge of your Fertility, she describes the difference between parous and nulparous women's cervixes (cervices?) as being always slightly open for parous and much more closed for nulparous. So I don't think you're alone!

I guess as long as you can tell how yours opens relative to it's normal state, then it's still helpful for charting?

Do you really have chickens in a city??

I guess I missed that part in TCOYF about parous and nulparous but that makes sense in my situation. It always seems a bit open and soft most of the time for me. Then I read on in TCOYF about something about when you always show signs of ovulating that something is wrong with your thyroid so here I am worrying about my thyroid now. lovely....

But I am almost certain that I ovulated today because my cm was just gloriously beautiful last night. I was so excited I tripped over my pants wrapped around my ankles in my haste to get to the bedroom. yes..I am a nerd.

pookiemom, lol.

I posted in the feb. tww thread, but thought I'd add here: no idea what's going on. I am 15dpo, very high temperatures (I've never seen them this high) and had a BFN this morning. Maybe this is Clomid messing with my normal LP, and I'll get a temp drop tomorrow? Maybe I'm pg and it's still too early to show up on a test?

I noticed a spot on my underware and had been feeling "squishy" down there for and while and decided to check it for the tenth time that day and it stretched like 3 inches. It was crazy! But it kind of looked like.....snot.

I never thought in my entire life I would be describing something that looks and feels like snot as beautiful and glorious.

Anyone else hungry for breakfast now?:

Really!?!? Maybe that explains why I always have saliva ferning and my cervix is always open (and I've never had a baby). I always think of thyroid problems as creating weight problems, which I don't have, so maybe this isn't my problem? I don't know...

Oh, and I'm jealous of your cm

Thanks Gillian! I'm returning that book to the library today, and trying to be positive. I spent an hour this morning looking at FF charts that had male factor, used IUI, and got pregnant! It seems like they all had the IUI done on ovulation day... the only trick is to know when that is ahead of time! It's so easy to see with the thermal shift but you don't have that luxury while it's happening.

As for getting to the point where you need testing, I'd recommend going sooner than 1 year (we did, way sooner) because if something is wrong, you don't want to waste your time. Of course, if you want to keep trying the old fashioned way, you should do it, it has worked out for a lot of couples... I just feel like now we can do something about it, and not just watch cycles go by, wasting money and letting my eggs die each month!

Pookiemom, I'm also super jealous of your snotty CM!

Cervical opening reference for nul v parous women is in TCOYF page 96.
