I'm reading through these threads.... I'm very interested in TTCing with maca!! At this point I figure it can't hurt. (Baby#1 took IVF to conceive... and the waiting to conceive again is horrible!)

I've given up
But my powder is staring me down, so I may start up again. It certainly didn't hurt and we had quite a good graduation rate.

I just got pg, this is my second time getting pg while on a combo of maca and vitex. I took 1 tablespoon to get pg with DD2, I started off this time taking 2 tablespoons, I've come to the conclusion that with maca, less is more. 2 didn't work well, so I backed down to 1, and got pg that next cycle.

ETA: I still had no EWCM, but it obviously didn't matter!

There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.

Hmmmmmm. I "think" it lasted us a little over a month & that was w/ DH taking 2TBS a day & me taking about 1 TBS ( more or less) a day. some days I just had more or less depending on my mood. (mostly 2 tsp- 1 TBS though.
IDK if that helps ya

This thread is long so I havent read through the whole thing yet- can someone tell me if its OK to start maca during the 2ww? I just heard about it, I'm 5dpo and it sounds great but I dont want to start anything that might prevent the bfp.

Thanks!

Mum to DS1 7/09 and DS2 5/11

Wow, this tread is long. Can someone summerize it all up for me. So maca is helpful for TTC? Do I have to take it in powder or capsul form? Who takes it, me or DH? How much do I take?
Thanks

My husband and I wanted to get a head start on TTC but it has been a lot harder than I thought to get pregnant, so that is why I'm here.
I just got off Birth Control in January 09. I just started Maca so it can regulate me and make me start my period since I haven't had a "normal" period yet so that what keeps leading me to believe that I am pregnant but the preg tests keep coming out negative.
I either want my period to come on or be pregnant this waiting game is so annoying. I've had spotting to light blood that only lasts when I wipe so I don't know if that’s my period or that is implantation bleeding.
If anyone has suggestions or stories about their Maca journey I would love to hear them and will be open to anything thanks.

I started taking Maca (750mg caps 2/day) Apr 4 (also taking a VitB complex w Folic Acid and a multi vit). I am going to test on mother's day if AF doesn't show her face before then. If AF does show then I will begin a combo with Vitex.

so the threads i've read, normally say that maca has helped get their O date sooner, anyone experience the same O date, but a lengthened luteal phase? My O date was on day 21, 21, then 18, 18, 18. This is my first cycle taking 100mg of maca in addition to a bcomplex with 100mg of B6 and I O'd the same, day 18, but right now I am on cycle day 32 and still no AF? which has me at 13 dpo, since charting since the new year, my luteal phase has been 10 days, 11 days, 9 days, 12 days and now this cycle is 13 and counting. I started them both on CD6.

IMHO, anything that you can get organic and also raw is the way to go. I got 3 bottles of raw, organic maca capsules (800 mg each) on Amazon.com for $20 with free shipping. It was buy 2 get one free and qualified for the free super saver shipping. It sounds like most people have trouble getting the maca powder down so I'm glad I went with capsules.

Hi Ladies, I am a 30 yr old mother of 5 yr old Triplets. I conceived them through IVF due to my ex husband near 0 sperm count.

I am now ttc with my partner. I have been taking maca and vitex for 2 cycles with no success :-(. Had my hormones checked and all seems balanced. Just hoping that I dont have to go through the long drawn out constant bfn thing that I experienced with the X...........just saying hi and add me on for ttc with maca and vitex :-)

Busy, Vegetarian, JewishTriplet Mommy to Three 5yr olds.
