That's awesome. Not that I'm biased or anything. I'm not only an Aquarius, but a "double" Aquarius (have Aquarius Sun and Moon).

Thanks for the new thread! Now you're gonna have to hang out here AND your new DDC. LOL.

Well, I spoke too soon. AF is back with avengeance, just as I suspected, and I have absolute cramps from hell right now. I just want to go back to sleep, but I couldn't sleep this morning b/c of the cramps. I don't get it. I had at least a couple of cycles recently with no cramps at all, and now back to this. Please move me to "Waiting to O".

hey luna! good to see you back here, but so sorry AF just showed. Really I wish we'd seen each other again in a DDC!
I hate cramps like that, but I find that advil really helps with them, especially the first two days of AF.

Thanks for taking charge of the list Lydia!

Wondering others thoughts on when to start a new chart. My chart is getting so long now that I have to start scrolling to the right to see it all. I still have no cycle so I did not know if it mattered if I started a new one. How long will it go?

Thanks,
Lisa Marie

I've seen charts >100 days... they can go on forever

However, you can "split" cycles in FF if scrolling to the right is bugging you.

I expect to O shortly as my CBFM gave me 2 peaks, and I got a HIGH today... just waiting for the thermal shift.

Ooh, I hope we get a good number of graduates into the June BFP list! :

Congrats again Dreams! I'm 10DPO today and feel convinced I'll be seeing AF soon. My bbs are sore like usual blah. I know that can be a pregnancy sign too but I feel like I've already given up on this cycle. I was hoping so bad we'd catch the egg this month too. I wanted to be able to surprise everybody when we go home next month.

Hey everybody!
Haven't been here in a few weeks, but nothing's really changed. Still waiting to O, just a new cycle.
I decided not to chart this cycle, so I'm not sure when I'll O or if I already have (although I don't think so), but DH and I are covering our bases, so we'll see.

Glad to see the BFPs! Sorry I missed the announcements, but it's still great to see, anyway.

Dreams, thanks for taking on the new thread. We did our IUI and ICI today and last night, so can you please move us over to waiting to know? The IUI went a lot better than the one we tried at home, the os was a lot more open and cooperative, and I had pretty good fertile CM. So despite all the trouble with screwy OPKs I think the timing was pretty good. Just keeping my : that my temperature jumps tomorrow!!!

Hi all,

I think I should be moved to "waiting to know." I think my thermometer is busted, but according to my physical symptoms I already o'd (no crosshairs on ff, though...)

Hopefully this will be my month, but if it's not I'm going to buy a proper thermometer!

Woohoo! I think it's O time, soon - I had a huge dip today. I was starting to give up hope for this cycle. Now if only I can get a full luteal phase afterward.

How is everyone else doing? We've had a pretty solid BD rhythm - every other day.

Also some drama going on with my SIL being pregnant to an ermm... unsavory fellow, so I'm trying to send her some extra love. I think she's lonely and confused right now.

Mama to twin boys, Oct-'09 and baby girl, Apri-'12!

Lauren,

I noticed that you are on vitex and haven't had a period for a few months. When I took vitex my cycle was 74 days. You may want to cut it out and see if that helps you. Just an idea.

Dreams-Thanks for the new thread. Here is my chart from ff, the one from ovusoft I can only update tonight. Anyway I may have asked this before (if I did I'm sorry) but how do you link your chart sign to the cute little chart symbol? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/20b3d4

Lauren-I wish I had some kind of sign like cramps or belly bloated, but I don't feel anything. However I just want to : for you.

I just started the vitex a couple weeks ago, so I feel like maybe its helping me at this point. I thought it delayed O if you already HAD cycles to begin with... which I don't and hadn't since going off BCP.

Blow some of those O vibes my way. I had to buy a new thermometer b/c my dog ate the other one (not really the whole thing but totally unuseable.) Uneventful pre-O wondering if I'll actually O this month. : Keeping myself busy with school work. And now I have to go do some laundry.

I suspect I'll have my first beta Wednesday or Thursday. I've promised turtle to be as Zen as possible about all of this, so I'm not temping or peeing on anything.

I thought this was interesting...

It only uses a 15% monthly chance (I'm assuming b/c they aren't talking about charting and timed intercourse).

--------

Your Chance of Conception
If you are in your late 20s and early 30's and are having sex without birth control two to three times a week:

60 percent will conceive in six months
75 percent will conceive in nine months
80 percent will conceive in twelve months
90 percent will conceive in eighteen months

----------

You can replicate these results by taking the chance of NOT getting pregnant raised to the power of the # of months you've been trying. Then take 1 minus that answer.

eg. If I think I have a 20% chance (I think that is more accurate for most of us who are charting/using OPKs in our late 20's/early 30's), I'd take (1-.2)^7 = .21% chance of not being pregnant after this next cycle, thus a 79% chance that I will be pregnant by then.

Obviously, this is working under the law of large numbers, and not everyone is pregnant by the time they reach the 100% mark. But I thought it'd be fun for the more mathematically obsessed of us to try.

Isn't there a law of averages where it's 50 50 chance every month whether you get pg or not? Doing it longer doesn't up your chance of conception the next month in my opinion. It is like flipping a coin, flipping the coin more times doesn't increase the chance it will land on tails.

Yes, but if you add up all the women who are getting pregnant, and the amt of time it takes to get pregnant, you get this statistic (law of large numbers). That's why this doesn't mean that when you get to 99% you HAVE to be pregnant - it'd just mean that you are on the outskirts of the curve.
