Hey mamas! I am SO excited for this month. I felt that I had ovulated about three weeks ago for the first time postpartum, and I was right!! I am on CD6 of my first postpartum cycle which means that we may conceive this month. I had a healthy 14-day LP and a nice, normal period!

I have been temping this month, and may buy a couple of OPKs this month. It would be really, really great if we could conceive in the next month or two, as it would mean that I would have more time off with the babe before needing to practice midwifery (financially). But we like to follow the cycles of our body, so we are ready to welcome our next child.

Blessings for a fruitful month, mamas! :

Grateful midwife and peaceful mama to three blissfully birthed, amazing children: dd (10)dd (7) and  ds (5).

I'm not sure what to make of it either, or the multiple positive OPKs...I just hope it works one of those times. =)

ErinsJuneBug, May is definitely a good time to have a baby, I had one of those the first time, here we go again!

Friday Check in: :
Name: Ann
Date: 1st August - Happy August Everyone!!! Yay!
Where are you at in your cycle: 2 DPO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Appointments: N\A
Symptoms if they apply: Very tender breasts, lower back pain. This might be a bit early, but these pains are not in my head lol. I usually get these regardless when I am due my period, but this is far to early than usual!!!
Testing: Just taking my temp every morning! I will test the on the 15th!!!
Thoughts: They are up and down at the moment. I am excited of course...this is my first 2WW! - But I also feel, in some small way, that I have...I dont know, well my worries are only about my son! I worry that when we do have a baby he might feel we dont love him as much. I guess this is normal though for second time mums!

for everyone here this month!!! - :

Thanks for the new thread! I'm super optimistic this month, which is totally unreasonable (why should this month be any different from the last 19?) but hey, I'll enjoy the optimism while it lasts. Good luck to everyone!

Can I be added to TTC #1

I really hope this will be our month! I am on CD 22 and my last 2 cycles were 43 and 49 days!!

I started taking some extra B6 due to thinking my LP is too short.

I just started temping 7 days ago on CD 16 so a little late but I do not think I will o untill CD 30-40.

Good luck to everyone!!!!

Like ann I am going to do a "Friday Check-In" just for ease of reading!

Friday Check in:

Name: alicewyf
Date: August 1, Lughnasadh (blessings to all those celebrating, and all those who aren't!)
Where are you at in your cycle: 6/7 DPO. I think I ovulated on CD 14 (to be fair, at night), FF thinks it was CD 15.
Appointments: None this week.
Symptoms if they apply: Tender breasts, cramping, falling asleep easily and early at night and sleeping through the night(totally not something that usually happens to me...I am a lifetime insomniac).
Testing: I think I am going to test on Sunday (8/9) DPO so I can test when DH is home. If I get a negative I am not testing again till Tuesday (when my period is due, 10/11 DPO). Yes, I have a short LP. Taking B6 to try and help with that!
Thoughts: Sometimes I am *positive* am pregnant and sometimes I just can't believe it is possible. Our timing was pretty good, I think. Oh, and also I am not temping this time because I can't obsess that much, it would drive me crazy. I look at FF too much as it is already.

Alicewyf knit.gif , wife to DH reading.gif and mama to toddler Lillian energy.gif (7/09)!

***4***8***12***16***20***24***28***32***36**stork-boy.gif40

Prayerfully expecting our little BOY in June of 2012! And so excited to be cd.gif and bfinfant.gifagain!

thanks snow pea!!

i'm going to try acupuncture next week to bring on my cycles. i had one measly af, 14 mos. pp, the day after my iud was pulled (lokking back, it was more like heavier spotting). i don't even know if i would call it a real cycle. ff said i o'd on cd 21 or so, but i had bfn's 15 and 18 dpo. my body is like a car engine that won't turn over. i get all the usual symptoms, but no af . it's the nursing, i'm sure. i'm thinking i'm the kind of mama who would only need her dc to nurse once a day in order not to see af. i'm hoping those little needles will give my body the push that it needs to get going again.

I just watched it! It was great, most of the info wasn't new to me because I have learned a lot just from being here and from reading mothering magazine. But I still enjoyed watching it and seeing the process of homebirth and hearing the opinions of all those involved. I bought it partly because I wanted to see it (I couldn't wait to see it!), but also I think it will help after I get pregnant and announce to my family and friends that I plan to have a homebirth. I can just let them borrow the dvd, and there you go, all the info you could want in a very easy to digest form.
