Okay wtchyhlr, heveasoul, and Bluedragonfly...we're on for November. It's official. AF made the expected appearance tonight.

Woohoo! Let's go! Another month is another chance!

AF is early (I only had a 12 day luteal phase...whoah!), so I am sure that sperm did meet egg, which is good news.

All my best to all of you still waiting. I am thinking about you and wishing you great BFP!

Love,
Sierra

I'm pro-adoption reform, but not anti-adoption.

Thanks everybody for your kind words and hugs!!!

wtchyhlr, Bluedragonfly, Sierra - sorry AF found you, too.

Today is a new day, right? We're on the path to holding sweet little babies in our arms.

Quote:
But today I am a new girl and ready. Bring it OOOOOOONNNNNN LADYYYYYYY!!!!!!
Bluedragonfly, it was very encouraging to read your post my 1st day of AF. And I loved your mantra! I started feeling better a bit then, and today I'm ready to feel positive again.

I ordered TCOYF yesterday - time to learn more, be more proactive!

Brandi, you're the last weekend, tester, aren't you? (no pressure :LOL !) My thoughts were with you last night before I went to bed - Brandi!!!!!

Welcome Alexis - hope your stay is short! It's a good idea to keep the themometer (use a basal body temperature one) by the bed - it should have a memory funtion, so you just take your temp upon waking, and not have to record it immediately. If you forget to turn it off, it should turn itself off after a certain number of minutes of inactivity. When you're more awake, you can just turn it back on and record your temp. I use a software (Ovusoft), but a lot of people use http://www.fertilityfriend.com, or others prefer paper & pen. Both Ovusoft and fertility friend are great in that you can share your charts online - helpful if you have questions. The temperature-taking will become a habit, no matter what your morning state is - the key is to consistently take it at the same time.

to everyone just entering the 2-ww, and thanks again for all your support - I'm so grateful to have this community!

Over to pre-O, !!

Sierra,

I read a post of your awhile back about your partners involvement, and I had the strongest picture in my mind of the two of you holding a newborn. I hope your month comes soon.

Lucy's mama,

I wonder if it's possible to O twice in a month? Is it your lunar return now (that supposed to be able to trigger a second O). In any case have FUN!

GO BRANDI GO!

I'm slightly annoyed to be 3 DPO again. FF changed my O line today. I suppose it is probably slightly more accurate, but after getting all excited about certainy, I'm kind of miffed.

DH is getting pretty excited this month, which I expected him not to be. He usually sees himself as THE VOICE OF REASON and says "WE'LL KNOW WHEN WE KNOW" last month he said "why don't you wait until you are actually late to test" and I just about took his head off. Plus last time I was really convinced we were pregnant, and he got caught up in it and then we were both dissapointed.

So I figured he'd be extra emotionally cautious, but instead he seems to be more excited than I am.

Not that I mind one bit, but it's not helping my resolve not to be obsessive. Nor I suppose is checking the boards 3 times a day. But that's just me obessing about whether you all get pregnant, not about whether I get pregnant, right?

(insert rationalization smiley here)

gonnabeamom,
that same thing happened to me with FF. if it helps, the next day, it changed my O date back to the one it originally gave me. of course i think they're both wrong, and i'm really O'ing right now so maybe it'll change back tomorrow?

Good morning ladies
Wow, I can feel all the love, thank you all! Still no af, I could not sleep this morning so I drug myself out of bed into the dark morning to pee in a cup. The only test I had handy is one from the dollar store, so I don't know if I believe it, but there is a faint line........................am I in complete denial or what?! I am going to buy a good test today and retest in the morning. I don't know why I am not believing it, I am pretty sure I am, but I just don't want to get too excited yet.
ok, maybe a little excited, it is just unreal. I think it will sink in when I see a nice dark line, or I start throwing up
I will be back tomorrow!
Brandi

Thank you everyone! I am really crampy tonight, and for the life of me, cannot remember if that is normal or not. I cannot wait for the morning to come. I bought a first response to take in the morning and I will feel much better once I see a real line. Thank you again for all of the celebration Now come on, lets ALL head over to the pregnancy forum!

As an FYI: You can definitely o twice in a month. UBC just released a study about two (?) months ago that showed that actually a strangely large percentage (@ 20% if I remember correctly, maybe less) of women do o twice or more a month. It was an interesting study. I've been looking for it again, but can't find it. Sorry. I was hoping to post a link. I do know that it was reported in the NYTimes, but they have an archive past a certain date, which I can't access without paying...

heveasoul -- thanks for the recomendation re:thermometers. I didn't even realize they made them with memory! Just goes to show you... I will definitely get me one of those!

Brandi -- I have all my fingers crossed for you, and positive thoughts. I betcha anything you'll get a dark line. I read in another forum about the weird crampy thing, so I think it's normal. (Oddly, it made me feel crampy to read about it, but I'd only be like 4 days pregnant if I am, and so that HAS to be psychosomatic!)

wtchyhlr, Bluedragonfly, Sierra, heveasoul -- sorry AF found you. Stay strong, think happy baby thoughts .

I can't believe how hard it is to wait 14 days...

[Edited to add that I found the url for the story about the multiple ovulation. Turns out it may even be more than twice a month -- here it is: <http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/07/08/ovulate030708>]
