I think I'm just being neurotic. Please forgive and indulge me.

My cycles are 33 days long and pretty consistent. My best educated guess (guess because I do not chart temps) based on CM is that I O'd on CD 19. Today I am on CD 34, my period is due (I usually wake up with it or get it by mid morning). My cervix is also still quite high (usually is low prior to period). But I have a whole bunch of negative HPTs, including one from this morning.

I had totally made peace with the fact that it wasn't gonna happen this cycle: negative tests and really no symptoms (breasts aren't sore, not really fatigued, etc). Then, from about 9:30 to 12:30 earlier today I got hit with an intense wave of nausea. like having to take slow deep breaths to keep from puking.

Anyway, just wondered what you ladies think. I'm so frustrated. At this point, I'd like my period to just show up so I can get on with it, ya know?

I think I will lose my mind if I have a flukey cycle and wind up a week late or something.

i did! with ds, it was my 2nd pp af cycle, and i knew when i o'ed. i knew i was pg right away - no sx's - just knew. i tested at 15-17 dpo and it was neg. i didn't freak and took a test a couple days later in had a bfp!

try again in a day or two, if af doesn't come. has anyone clued you in to $ store tests? they rock and they are very accurate! and of course only a dollar.

hope you get a bfp!

I did with my first two pregnancies. I tested at 15 dpo and it was negative. I went on with my life for about another 2 weeks and started feeling really sick. I thought it was some food I had recently eaten. Turns out I was pregnant! With my second pregnancy I had BFN at 14 DPO & then had what I *thought* was a light period. When I finally figured out that, DUH, I was pregnant, I figured I was only 7 weeks along. Imagine my SHOCK when I found out I was 11 weeks!!!! My last pregnancy, the first BFP turned up at 12 DPO.

Good luck & hopefully your experience turns out like mine!

I am going through that, was late and got a bfn and have been bleeding lighter than normal for two days. I am assuming it is my period, but does seeem quite lite. But yet seems to much for implantation bleeding. What actually is it if you are pregnant.

For me, my flow is normally medium for 4-5 days, with occasional lighter days, but usually not much shorter than 4 days. When I thought I had a cycle & actually turned out to be pregnant, it was light for 3 days. I was in the middle of a huge opera production & the performance schedule was really tough. I thought the shorter, much lighter flow was strange but chalked it up to stress and finals at school.

So it is possible - statistically speaking it's not very likely, but it does happen to some people. I still can remember the absolute shock when the ultrasound showed the little bean as being 11 weeks along.

This happened to me (although i didn't even test 'cause I just started getting "my period")...after 2 days of a really light period (but heavy enough for me to think I was getting my period, just the real "flow/change every couple of hours" hadn't kicked in), I finally tested and got a positive!

Yep, happened to me, I had like three negative HPTs, then a couple of days later had a beta HCG and it was positive -- very positive --- and I was pregnant with ds.

Thanks for all of the replies. Still no sign of my period, CD 36. I haven't tested since yesterday morning. If it doesn't show up today, I'll test again tomorrow morning.

I honestly don't know how I'm feeling. I've had nausea off and on here and there. Up until yesterday I had no unusual breast sensitivity, but yesterday I noticed some mild pronounced nipple pain. Other than that, I feel tired, but when am I not tired?

I admire your willpower! I'd be testing every day by now for sure! haha!

I noticed some nipple pain the last few days too - I just can't decide if it's my son's poor latch at this point or attributable to something else...

Holy crap! I was just talking to my mom and she said she didn't get a positive result when she was pregnant with me until the second trimester. She kept going to the doctor and the kept testing her and it kept coming back negative. She kept stating that she knew she was pregnant and kept testing negative and they kept telling her she wasn't (no routine ultra sounds at that point) based on the pregnancy tests. She finally demanded a physical and a doctor confirmed that her cervix was blue and her uterus was at 11 weeks.

She didn't get a positive blood test until 12 weeks! Wow!

You know that is almost exactly what happened to a woman I know. The Dr was ready to give her something to start her cycle, but they needed to take one more blood test to make sure she wasn't pg, and then yes she was. She was about 12 weeks also.

When I was pg with ds, I tested on 16dpo (I temped/charted) and 18dpo and got negs. I didn't get a pos until 20dpo, and it was very light.

That said, there was one other time that I didn't have af by 15dpo, and that was when I had an ovarian cyst. It's a relatively harmless thing, and most women don't even know they have it. But af was something like 2 weeks late that cycle (and I know when I o'ed).

I'm not sure. Would a midwife be willing to do that this early on (I don't have any kind of doctor, just a MW)? I feel like they'll probably tell me to wait a few.

Yeah, probably. I would ask though and see what she recommends. Maybe at least knowing WHEN she'd test you will put your mind at ease a bit?

This happened to me! I took POAS like 10X and NEVER got a positive, it wasn't until after an 'inconclusive qualitative hcg' that i got a confirming quantitative at 8wks! Then they said I was miscarrying based on my last period!!! My DD's eggy must have been just floating around my uterus for longer than the standard lp!

Good luck!

Well, I think here's my plan. I am going to shelve it mentally and emotionally (as best I can) until Sunday. If I still haven't gotten my period by then, I'll test again. If it's negative, I'll call my MW on Monday morning. So, you all aren't going to hear from me again on the TTC forum until Sunday or Monday. Unless I start my period before then.

P.S. I'm typing this through a wave of nausea.
