If you have just retired from the TTC boards, I (we), would LOVE a little testimonial on your way on to those greener pastures.

Consider it part of your TTC THESIS - for graduation.

Here are some things I think may be of interest to the rest of us, as reference (some may call it obsession...compulsion...masochism) during our future two week waits.

1. What felt MOST DIFFERENT about your post ovulation symptoms in your BFP cycle? Did something happen that had never happened in previous cycles? Or - did it feel exactly the same?

2. Did you do anything differently in this cycle, or in preparation of this cycle, that you believe helped you get your BFP.

3. CONGRATU-FRICKIN-LATIONS! WELL DONE! :

*Leave us a link to your preggo chart!

**Update. Also - I've always wondered this when looking in the FF chart archives.

If you chart BBT - did your chart look particularly different this cycle, than in cycles past? IE: Were the temps completely different, or higher, did they take a different pattern? Did you ovulate later or earlier than usual? Basically, what I'm getting at...was there a point at which you looked at your chart and said...holy crap - I must be pregnant this time!

Hmm, well. I'm about 17 days post "O" and got a BFP 11 days p.o. . This month, I started with the evening primrose oil (which I bought an butt load of as it was two for one at Walgreens, but I digress) to up my CM as I hadn't really had much to speak of the previous cycle. As well, we DTD like every freakin' day starting around day 12 to the day after I got a +OPK. This was also my first month using an OPK. So, I don't know. It had to be this month or we had to wait about four more months as we are moving next June, so... it happened. I wish I had a really good story, or that I did something special, but I just basically had a lot of, um, sex. So, if this little one sticks around (pray pray pray), then it'll be due May 12. Good luck everyone!

Hi! so, I have been trying for 4 months, tracking my cervical mucous and watching my bodies cues, no BBT or anything like that. Well, it wasn't working so last month I bought a 10 day supply of OPK, and...drum roll please! It worked! So I used the OPK and watched my CM carefully. Timed it right and success. I thought surely I was not Pregnant though, because I had zero symptoms as far as swollen breasts etc, the only thing I noticed was a sour stomach. But I am sure it will all come crashing down on me before I know it. I did get impatient and used a Target brand early pregnancy test, which gave me a big old negative line, so I didn't think I was pregnant, but today AF is 3 days late, so I did the Early Response digital test, looked down and there it was written plain as day - Pregnant. I still don't believe it, so I am heading to Target right now to get another test just to be sure. Anyway, I found a wealth of support and information on these boards, so even though I always thought this was waaay cheesy: here is some baby dust for everyone:

I just got a BFP yesterday at 10 DPO. The only reason I tested was because of the following symptom: a brief episode of seeing stars...literally a bunch of tiny white lights...like a headrush but different. I remembered right away that this also happened in the 2WW when I was pregnant with my son.
Also, I had a day of dull cramping at 8 DPO, and a tiny amount of tan/brown CM that day. I did not have any implantation spotting with my first pregnancy. The only other thing that happened I wasn't even going to post because it makes me sound like a crazy person, but here goes- I had an isolated sharp pain in my tooth. This definitely happened well before implantation. This also happened in my first 2WW. Never before, never since. Really bizarre I know, but it goes to show that every body is different and weird things can happen when that egg gets fertilized. The first time I thought it was just some weird fluke but now that it has happened twice I know it is a pregnancy sign for me.
I attribute my success this month to B-Complex. I am taking NOW B-50. I took one a day for most of my cycle and then bumped it up to 2 a day a little bit after O because I read it could also help with insomnia which I was having an issue with. This is my second cycle post partum, and in my first cycle my LP was only 9 days. This cycle I did not O until CD20. So basically I belive the B-complex lengthened my LP enough for implantation. Of course it is impossible to know if this is actually the case.

I am still praying that this baby sticks, today is only 11 DPO.

I really hope to see BFPs SOON for zen and all you other amazing women.

K. so here goes.

First we went off BCPs, I had a every "symptom" in the book I was throwing up and everything. In reality it was my body reeling from the sudden drop in hormones. Cycle 2 and 3 got longer and longer then stopped all together. I tried everything to get it started again. Parsley tea, progesterone, vitamin C hyponidd, B6, Aspirin. Finally I knew that I had to lose weight. I lost 50 lbs and my cycle started to come back. The first cycle back was long and kinda surprised me that it was back. The second and third were "normal" at least for all I knew of normal. Now on to the fun cycle!

I this cycle I really wanted to move my O date from 25+ to something rational. I took 100mg Soy Isoflavones from CD3-7. We used Pre-Seed during Ovulation week, and I have been taking my prenatal and added a lo-dose aspirin and 50 mg B6.

I really didn't think that this was the cycle. I still don't really believe it. I have been wanting and waiting for long enough that it's a major change. I've been TTC for 12 months, every thought and action was focused on getting healthy so I could conceive. I wish that I could tell you that I knew something was different, but I can't it's hindsight that makes me think the crazy dreams on CD 7,8 and 9 may be PG related. I thought that I was really nervous about testing, but I still feel kinda wiggily and sick. I thought it was the heat that was making me scatterbrained and wiggily. Maybe it's the little bean?

I will say that it is hard to come to terms with. You don't feel any different. You feel a little different but you're not sure how much of that is in your head. You don't really have any physical signs. You almost feel like AF will be here any second. Or if you are like me, you just think that AF is away because sometimes she likes to stay away for long periods to spite you. I think when we hear a heart beat of see a U/S it will be real to me and I will really feel pregnant.

It will happen for you, and you should enjoy every second of it

I'm crunchy... Like a Dorito.

Hi,
I got my BFP at 12dpo (at 16 now). We have been trying for 6 months. This month we did 2 things differently.
First we started using the CBEFM. I finally broke down and bought it (ebay). It was really nice to have an idea that O was coming since i have NO visible (inside or outside) CM. I temped as well so to see if they matched up (they did).
Second, we used pre-seed (since as mentioned above the CM problem...even with 3000mg of EPO for 3 months now). I got like 3 DTD with one tube (they give you ALOT in each).

As far as anything being different.....the only thing that i noticed was that at about 11dpo i was HOT all the time, and i sorta half gagged once when i cleaned the litterbox on 12dpo (thats what made me test).
Oh and i had a headache at 11dpo as well, and i NEVER get headaches.

SAHM to 4 cats, DS 5/09, DD 3/12 and 3# due 4/15. Home birthing, non vax, anti circ, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, real food eating pretty darn crunchy mama.

I got my Bfp at 12 dpo now I'm at 16. Just like Larzanna! Last month I swore I was pregnant, I had all kinds of s+s. But negatives across the board. This month there wasn't a whole lot going on, or atleast they were much more sutble. I had a few bouts of nausea while driving just before implantation (or what I think was implantation) My breasts felt tingly but it was so vague that I wasn't sure if it was in my head or not. Around 8 dpo my gums started to ache? I felt like I constantly needed to brush and gargle and floss. The last thing was I also was HOT. ALL THE TIME. I am never hot. I'm still hot.

I had told myself I wasn't going to test till after I missed a period since I only had one test left. But on day 12 I suddenly felt like I should test. The thought just came through my head. So around 10:30 (after already having peed that morning) I poas and sure enough a very "there" line showed very quickly!

I'm just now beginning to felt a bit more tired, and I want nothing to do with food in the morning. I always eat first thing. So for me its a lot of subtle kinds of symptoms.

Good luck to all of you out there ttc

I am feeling silly that I spent so much energy looking for symptoms during the TWW, only to have none when I was finally pregnant. The only thing for me I can say that was different, was that I did not get sore breasts before my period was due. They are sore now, but only at close to 5 weeks.

As far as what was different... Honestly I think my body was just ready. I had been doing accup. and TCM for about 4 months and I think it was slowly working. But this month was different in that I really wasn't thinking about it as much. I went to an RE last month and was waiting to get my period to schedule an HSG and start the whole western medicine route. As the advice of the Chinese doctor I didn't chart this month, because I told it was giving me a little anxiety (especially at the end of the month when each temperature seems so telling!) so I didn't have that to obsess over. But on top of all that, my grandmother passed away during the TWW and of course my mind was so far away from thinking about TTC. Anyway, I don't really subscribe to the relax and it will happen club, just telling my tale. I just got back from being with my family, and it was nice to bring with me some much needed good news for my family!

I actually recently posted about my BFP on this thread, specifically to encourage others in my situation: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...236&highlight=

As to how post-O felt, well, I'd like to say I just "knew", but I totally didn't, lol. Nothing whatsoever felt different in that cycle, except that I did have what I later discovered was implantation bleeding at 7 DPO, which perhaps should have clued me in, but it didn't, b/c:
A. I've never had implantation bleeding or spotting with any of my other pg's.
B. I discovered the bleeding right after having sex, and just assumed that all that jostling was helping AF to start early.

However, when the bleeding went away as quickly as it had come, and suddenly my morning coffee began to taste absolutely disgusting, I slowly began to go "Hmmmm..." I endured another week of horrible-tasting java and waited until the day AF was due before I tested, though. And there they were: two instant pink lines, no wait needed.

I'm wishing every last one of you a lovely BFP very soon!

The only thing I remember is all of a sudden I was warm at night. But remember my body was/is getting use to less BFing at night since DS2 finally sleeps through most of the night.

Nothing as I was waiting for TOM to return though there was more BDing going on bc my sex drive DRASTICALLY reduced preggo so I was trying to let him have more fun now since when TOM returned then stopped again he knows what happens.

This is all great info - thanks guys!

Does anyone know - how, or if, it would be possible to have this thread 'sticky' or perm on the front page, so new users (and curious 'old' ones) can always get a little 'testimonial' fix during their TWW??

I think a lot of users here would enjoy reading these regularly - and new BFP'ers wouldn't miss out on the chance to leave behind their story?

Should I contact a moderator...if so...who? Adina...are you reading this???

Any ideas?

Thanks!

the only thing that was different this time was that I was insanely tired, like asleep on the couch in mid sentence tired, and food that I loved made me wanna barf, and then the constant peeing. All the other stuff like sore BBs, moody, and craving sweets are just normal things I was getting before AF. So again, super tired and sir pees a lot were the real differences for me, I can't remember about the other two because both were first try babies, the first one was actually a huge surprise. =)

were you super tired that early?
with dd, that is exactly how I was. I was so tired and so sleepy, I could not function. But I think it came a bit later on. Not that early.

I will participate in this because i had such a strange cycle the month i conceived. I posted it on mothering before so here it is:
http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=953813&

Looking back the only thing i can recall is that i had a strange feeling in my breasts. They felt very full and i had a feeling like "let down while breastfeeding"
Other than that it was definitely a shocker.

stick baby stick.

I'm dropping in from the April 2009 DDC. I spent most of my 7 months TTC after a miscarriage on a different forum then floated over here during the 6th month.

1. What felt MOST DIFFERENT about your post ovulation symptoms in your BFP cycle? Did something happen that had never happened in previous cycles? Or - did it feel exactly the same? Ovulation hit me pretty hard that cycle, my boobs were sore up until 2dpo and I had nausea worse than usual. I ovulated on CD11, when I normally ovulate on CD12 or CD14 (but never CD13! lol). I had some cramping 6DPO which very well could have been due to the fact that I was slightly constipated. But that was all I had until my BFP at 10DPO. Boobs didn't start getting tender until the day of my missed period and nausea didn't kick in until later. It's funny, my first pregnancy was an oops when the last day we BDed (with protection too) was CD9, so I'm lead to a hunch that I only concieve when I ovulate really early

2. Did you do anything differently in this cycle, or in preparation of this cycle, that you believe helped you get your BFP. The cycle before, I was using Dong Quai tinctures for the uterine tonic affects. It sure as heck worked like it promised, my LMP was by far the crampiest, bloodiest one since my miscarriage. I also started using cloth pads the period before my LMP, so maybe the cloth gave my body enough of a break from the plastics and chemicals to really do it's thing? I prefer to think that it just took that long for the right egg and sperm to meet up though

Hope to see more of you ladies fill up the May DDC and get the June DDC started! :

Yes. I'm 10DPO today, I can barely move. Everything is blurry and I can't remember names or words I'm so tired. Yesterday I had to take two naps and then I went to bed early last night and slept today until 11:30 this morning! Today I want to nap desperately but DH is at work and I'm alone with the kids...they tend to do....bad things...when I fall asleep around them. =) I remember being tired the last two times but not until later, it is really early this time.

I don't have much to testimonialize (yes, it's a word, so says the OED).

I tested really early and had a faint faint faint line 10DPO. On 11DPO it was only marginally darker, but I had a small feeling of nausea throughout the day. I believe that was my first surge of hormone after implantation. I forced myself to stop testing - a gal can waste a bunch of money on those tests. I've felt pretty normal since then. Occassional twinges of nausea when I am very hungry.

I have been having very vivid dreams every night from a few days past O. That's quite abnormal for me. Last night I dreamt of skunks.

I am 8 weeks, 6 days pregnant, and got my first BFP at 13 DPO after a BFN at 11 DPO. We'd been TTC this baby since Sept. 2007 and finally caught the egg!

I was shocked that we conceived when we did, since I was out of town when my usual fertile time would have been, but God was looking out for us and it was just our time, because I O'd 4 days early--the day before I left for my trip! I think what did it for us that cycle was taking advantage of my O+1 day, which we hadn't done before.

The first sign I noticed that clued me in that I could be pregnant was a tingly, let-down feeling in my breasts starting about 11 DPO. I don't normally have pre-AF "sensations" in my breasts, so this was a big "ah-ha!" moment for me.

Good luck to all of you! Hope to see all y'all on the DDC boards soon! :

Okay - here is my testimonial:

My cycle this time around (second try!) was way way different but I do not know if that had anything to really do with it! I ovulated on day 17 this cycle which is way earlier than I normally ovulate! With EPO I ovulate on CD 20 and without on CD 24... Since TTC, I would stop the EPO when I figured I ovulated as I was told it could cause cramping preventing implantation which turned out to bring my LP back down to 11 days (11 days without EPO and 14 with if I carried on through my whole cycle)...So I took up Vitamin B complex this cycle to help lengthen that because I feel 11 days was pushing it a bit. Maybe the B complex really did the trick?
Also - I had DH take some supplements as well! He took a 'pro-natal' for men TTC and some extra vitamin C as he smokes and I read men who smoke should take some extra vitamin C if they are TTC as its helps the sperm maturity etc that may have been affected by the chemicals in fags. Maybe that helped as well?!

I have been tracking since December of last year out of pure interrest at first as I knew my cycle was much longer than the average (at 35 days long!)...And this cycle was certainly the most different!!!

Signs that could be early pregnancy signs but are also usually my pre AF signs:

Gassy! - Woah watch out!
Tender breasts - ouchy, dont touch!
Bloated - Do I look fat in this?
Sore lower back - heavy feeling.
Nausea - sometimes...randomly throughout the day.

My Pre Preg signs...I think:

Tender nipples as well as swollen boobs - not just sore anymore, rather uncomfortable. My nipples feel like your food does when it falls asleep and you are trying to wake it up again when anything touches them.

Cervix positioning high and creamy CM - Normally, when AF is around the corner, my cervix is all over the place...high one day, low the next, somewhere in between...you get the idea. Last cycle I just new I wasnt going to be lucky first time around...my cervix was too all over the place!

I do have a bit of nausea as well. I seem to notice a connection with it and being hungry, needing food. Once something is in my tummy, the morning sickness feeling passes. I think this is why they call it morning sickness as well?!...Your tummy seems to be most empty and in need for food them! hehe

I forgot to add...my skin! When I was pregnant with my son I had lovely acne free skin. When AF is due...I get oily skin and some spots - nothing horrendous though, but this time...kinda dry skin...no spots! Bye bye AF and horrible acne! lol Also - skin seems to be more sensitive. I get itchy red patched after I get out of the shower so I think I need to find a more sensitive body wash!

And...NO PMT!...Im happy! lol Not aggrivated and irratable! (thank Goodness!) hehe

I think I knew mostly I was pregnant because of my cervix though!...So high and creamy and a lovely nest for that growing bean of mine! hehe Its something I can feel and know for sure its not all in my head! hehe

And the best 'knowing' feeling of all...I dont feel alone in myself. Last cycle, I felt alone and when I started craving chocolate...I knew I was alone. I knew there wasnt a baby in there. I dont feel alone in myself this time around! :

I just took the digital this morning as well! -14DPO!!!...BFP! - Its nice to see the words!...omg, how did woman survive in the past without this technology? lol

I will add that now...since about last night...my nipples have become very very sensitive that they almost hurt. Anything that brushes up against them, even a breeze (not that I am running around nekkid in the fields or anything lol)...but super sensitive...beyond meer breast tenderness.
