Fess up!

I'm a believer in the baby train...when one woman has her baby, another conceives. My cousin conceived right after I had my daughter. Another cousin of mine had her baby yesterday, and I could be conceiving/implanting now.

Husband thinks if you hold and cuddle and be around a new little baby (even a fur baby) something clicks into gear and it ups your chances of conceiving.

I desperately hope this is true because I just started working 12 hours a week, alone in a room with one other woman who is 17 weeks pregnant. Guess what we talk about all day?

Hopefully her pregnant hormones rub off on me. If I keep not getting pregnant I think this work situation is ripe nervous breakdown territory.

No, dahling...I guess I mistyped. Conceiving as in sperm meets egg, not the actual act of intercourse.

Guess I actually mean fertilization. Oops.

Glad I was good for a laugh, at least

My mom and husband won't let me buy anything baby-related because they think it is bad luck. I got a pair of Minnetonka baby booties in a swap, and now my husband is telling me to store them at my mom's house or else I might not conceive.

Hehe, I believe a lot of those. It always seems that in a family, a workplace, or a circle of friends, pregnancy is kind of contagious. A coworker was pregnant last year and I thought maybe that would be lucky for me... instead it was another coworker-- one who wasn't intending to get pg.

I also sort of believe the don't-bring-baby-stuff-into-the-house. Right before I lost my second pregnancy, my mom knitted and adorable hat and booties and sent them to me... unfortunately I got the package like *minutes* after I'd started bleeding. I can't get rid of them, though, so I'm hoping having them stuffed in the back of my underwear drawer will confuse the powers-that-be!
