Well...I guess I'd like to be added to the list again. We lost our little miracles at 12 weeks. While the midwife recommended waiting to allow my body stores to rebuild, there's no way in heck we're going to do anything to prevent. Here's to hoping it takes a lot less time to conceive again.

Welcome AprilMom! May your stay here be short and sweet!!

That's amazing about the lady with 6, Tiara! : So sweet. I've always been semi-convinced that I'll have nothing but girls, but in the same dreamstate I realized that if I have a boy, he'll be my heartson, if that makes sense?

Its the same old stuff with me - I have been lurking mostly because this is year #5 of TTC, and I'm starting to lose hope. I'm currently using Acupuncture and trying to eat healthy and lose a bit of weight, and beyond that.. I dunno.

kssinca: Thanks for keeping tabs on us . . . .And spreading that dust.

Kiya: It does make sense.

ItyBity: Each year passing does tend to jolt you into reassessing what you want to do, why, and how. We've chaned our focus so many times. Sometimes I wish it were easier or that I had the answers to share. Thinking of you.

WELCOME April! May you come and go quite swiftly

ItyBty, I was just thinking of you. Gosh I am so sorry this is beyond rough. I'm : for you and for your happiness.

Kssinca, Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the well wishes which will not go unappreciated.

Puff, Great to see you have a due date!

Weasley, One day at a time, no prayer is quite as sticky as the one for you.

Julia'sMom, I'm SO sorry you are here again. Truly.

Tiara, Thanks for being threadqueen this month.

Kiya, That was a gorgeous dreamdrift you shared at the end of the Sept. thread. Nothing short of what I hope you receive, in time.

I had a funny dream last night myself. I dreamt I POAS and it was positive, but not just any ole positive. Because it was the only pos. I'd seen in 2 yrs, after it turned positive, it started lighting up and little celebration messages popped up in the window until it was one regular party stick of joy. They should make those for gals like us.

Also, I wanted to share a different perspective on something we were discussing at the end of the Sept. thread about the idea that maybe we are going down this road for a certain reason. That is a totally legit way to approach it esp. if it works for you! but I am looking at that a diff. way these days in case this speaks to anyone out there.

For a while, I wondered what greater meaning struggling with fertility had as that was how I looked at most aspects of my life. Why am I going through this? What am I meant to learn? But in the last few months, I have decided there is no deeper meaning...that I am not being singled out to learn anything I am lacking, that I am not any less ready than anyone else out there getting preg. I woke up one day and thought about how my intention is pure, I have lived the healthiest life I know, I have worked out issues with my own mother in tons of therapy, I am fulfilled creatively by being a writer, I feel connected to the earth and at home in my body. That's enough. I am and have done enough. This is something difficult that is happening to me and I will likely learn things from it along the way because I usually choose to try to be conscious of my experiences, but it's not happening for a reason (i kind of actually think this is an overused line that's great when nothing totally awful is happening to you, JMO). This was incredibly freeing to me and helped reignite that spark in faith in myself. I am probably part of a lineage of women for whom childbearing has not come easy and it's a much older issue than me. At the end of the day, all that I can control is being done. I hope that made sense and is possibly helpful...and not meant to knock down the other way of looking at it. Tis just where I'm at.

Hi friends.
I am still here too.
Like everyone who has been ttc for this long, I go through all kinds of ways of coping.
Right now I am in a peaceful state with it.

PoetGirl
I totally hear what you mean about there actually not being a specific reason for this challenge in ttc. I know what you mean in that I am just as ready and worked through issues and healthy as anyone. I am glad you have found that spark of peace and hope.

I think for me right now- I find some peace i nthinking of it simply as my own journey- my own medicine bag. It is not that I am nmore or less anything than anyone else. It is just my life and my experience. I think I am judging it and myself less than I used to and just watching- going, oh, hmmm.

OMG they should so totally make those for us! And ones for the others, too, who AREN'T TTC and are freaking out... ours could have either, "i'm so sorry" or "try again tomorrow!" versus, "YAYYYY CONGRATULATIONS!", while the other ones could be, "you're safe, false alarm!" versus, "brace yourself, honey!" Personalized POAS sticks... I see a market possibility here...

Hello lovelies

Well, I didnt have much time last time... so I may as well say... I guess we are just gonna stop ttc...

A year after an official diagnosis of pcos... taking met (the best I could.. I wont claim I did it 100% cause I didnt)... and not even a single ovulation to be happy for... I just want to stop...

I dont really feel too terrible... just remorseful... I had a plan to have a baby before ds turned 4... but that has come and gone... and we really wanted our girl... and that probably wont happen...

The best I could possibly do is leave it in Gods hands

so go ahead and take me off the list... I love you ladies... and I will miss you terribly...

I just had a thought that perhaps all the time I spend on the internet in the last 6 months is actually hurting my reproductive system.
I ioly ever started having problems- pain - in my ovary area since we got dsl and I got on the internet every single day. UGH!

I vow to stop being on the internet as much as possible starting now.

Bye all!

Hi Ladies:

How's your weekend going so far? Dh and I started ours on Friday and didn't do much yesterday except catch up on the VP Debate (we both worked on Thursday and had to tape it ). Also yesterday I started spotting (again) and this time, while it's really simliar to the other 3 times I've spotted while on this long cycle (if you can call really call it a cycle - imho it's more like a standstill), it's different in that I'm having some serious cramps too. I don't know if it will become an actual af, although I doubt it - and it's just causing me to freak out.

When I was dx'd w/ PCOS in 2002 the thing that scared me the most was the bit about because I wasn't having normal periods, it was a concern for development of cancer because of the cervical lining building up all of the time w/o being sloughed on a regular basis. Needless to say I was happy when af returned on a more regular basis and then a few years later 2 docs disputed that diagnosis. And then 2008 happened and I haven't had a normal cycle since. :

I need to get into to see my doc again - because I'm so frustrated I want to scream. I do have to go in to get some meds next week so I'll bring it up then.

I hope you all are having a fabulous week.

Never thought I'd be typing this out here but CONGRATS on finally getting AF!!!! Onto a new cycle and new hope.

Did I mention here that a close friend of mine had been trying since 2001 and finally got preggo? She never went to an RE or anything like that and just tried her best to deal I guess. She would only have a few AFs a year but she is a person of very strong faith and felt like it was just never time for them to try any medical help. I just wanted to share. It reminds me that although it may take damn near forever, chances are one day we'll all end up with babies.

Every day brings me closer to fulfilling my dreams of becoming a midwife and a mother

Katie-- scary thought, our internets doing us damage. I totally hope you're wrong, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? Hopefully you can still check in with us occasionally, maybe when you have to get online to do something else.

Personally I'm not feeling all that hopeful about this pregnancy. I'm 5 1/2 weeks and don't really feel 'pregnant'-- no sickness or anything. My boobs are sore but they were last time, too, and that one was a blighted ovum. Honestly, for me the 2ww between sex and POAS is nothing compared to the 2ww between the blood tests and the first ultrasound. THIS is the longest two weeks ever...
