Hi Mamas, I'm starting to have some trouble getting comfortable at night and sleeping & I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for pregnancy pillows? Currently I'm using 4-5 queen sized pillows to make a sleeping nest, which takes up most of the bed
I'm wondering if those pillows designed for pregnancy are worth the investment. Has anyone tried them?
Thanks for the input & hope you are all sleeping well
I agree with the body pillow! Sometimes I use my Boppy pillow for tummy support too, when I get bigger. I considered a pregnancy pillow this time, but when I saw how huge they are IRL, it was an instant "no". LOL
Shifting positions probably 20 times/night over here. Have been considering body pillow, but haven't bought one because there's so many and I feel like I need to try them in order to know which will work...
No real aches and pains in daytime from it, but wondering if anyone sleeps or has slept propped up on back with pillow under right side, like I've been told is OK.
I often shove a pillow behind me to stay semi-on my side. But I still back sleep often. It doesn't concern me unless it's obviously uncomfortable, so I don't worry about it.
My fav. thing to do is make a "nest" and sleep on my tummy all night. LOL
Good to know. I find there's a point in most nights toward early morning when either of my hips is just over it. Sore. So I've been propping up and back sleeping for a bit when I don't know what else to do!
My sleep has gotten better since I saw a chiro, and also figured out how to arrange the pillows. A couple small pillows help--one over my regular pillow to keep me up a little higher, and another... sometimes under my belly, sometimes under my top arm. I've been thinking about buying a little foam thingie/wedge as an even thinner pillow for my belly.
I just use a lot of pillows and make a "nest". One under head, one between legs (helps so much with the hips), one between me and hubby for back support, and to keep me from rolling onto my back. Then one on my other side to prop up bump and cuddle up next to. Hubby is not a fan of the nest, but it's the only way I have been able to sleep since week 14. I looked at the big pillows, just can't get past the $80+ price tag for one.
Ugh, my issue isn't comfort, it's peeing 9,000 times an hour and straight up insomnia. It's so brutal every pregnancy for me and nothing seems to touch it!
