Hey ladies,
Here's my history: I'm 22 and have always had very regular (30/31day) cycles. Never had any menstrual issues, easy periods, minor cramping, etc prior to and after going off bc. I went off of Nuvaring in August, had my first (30day) cycle in September, got pregnant in October. I miscarried at 8 weeks (fetal demise followed by a D&C) and had a 12 week anovulatory cycle that finally ended when I demanded Prometrium from my MD and induced a period. I had another anovulatory cycle (currently CD48) and I'm on day seven of Prometrium trying to induce another AF. Around the time of my miscarriage, I gained about 12lb that I have been totally unable to get off. I started sprouting some hairs on my chin and my pubic hair has increased its boundaries (higher, lower, wider
, my hair on my belly, which has always been soft, fine, and short, got darker (I'm a dark blonde/redhead) and longer. I've noticed a change in my scent, you know, just the smell of my skin.
Is it possible to "develop" PCOS or is it something you have from the beginning? Could I go from normal to PCOS because of a miscarriage?
FYI, my MD already checked my thyroid. I haven't voiced the above concerns to her because they just occurred to me.
