My husband and I have been trying for over a year now to get pregnant, and it seems we are not beating the odds here.
When he was a teenager, he was diagnosed with a type of testical cyst, inoperable.
His chances of conceiving are about 23%.
On top of that, I've had anemia for a number of years,
and believe it has effected my fertility greatly, as well.
The likeliness of us conceiving is slim,
but I am curious as to whether any of you know any similar situations?
Should I simply give up?
Im completely for adoption, but Austin is determined that we will have our own children.
Im losing hope.
DH has varicocele and I have a short LP and very long cycles. Just with DH's diagnosis, the doc gave us a low chance of conceiving on our own, then adding my problems, lets just say they didn't think we could do it on our own.
We conceived with chlomid but had an early miscarriage then gave up trying and were looking into adoption. We got pregnant on our own after 3 years of trying. I got my cycle back after DD was 15 months and conceived DD2 with the second egg. No interventions at all.
I consider ourselves lucky since we didn't end up having any interventions with our two girls, but I just wanted to give my story since we had less than a 10% chance of conceiving on our own.
Since DH's sperm count is low, we DTD every day for a week before and a week after ovulation. Both months that we did that, we conceived.
Sorry you are going through this. It is heartbreaking. Good luck.
