Hi. I am brand new at this, and trying to find my way through all of the info that comes along with using a donor. I have a girlfriend of 7 years and I am 33, so we are going to finally try to do IUI.
Im very nervous because I have polycistic syndrome (PCOS), and I have a brain tumor also which is a pituitary adenoma. ( I have had it ...for 10 yrs-maintained with meds, however it makes my body already think it's pregnant since it sits on the pituitary gland.) I also am borderline pre diabetic, with high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
But I am more motivated than you can ever imagine, and there is nothing I have wanted more than to have a baby of my own. I recently quit smoking, started a very strict diabetic diet, and exercising almost daily. I hope this works!
All my test have come back good, dye test came back good. Now I have to have a D & C to remove polyps, and a camera procedure.
I only have enough money to buy 2 vials of the donor we have chosen and I am really kind of freaking out because what if it doesnt work in the frst 2 tries? I will be beyond devastated. I have never wanted anything so bad in my life.
Has anyone also used Xytex before?

Hello, Welcome to MDC -

While the infertility section is a fabulous resource, and I am glad you have found it, it is my impression that there is a very active queer parenting section - there have been a number of my MDC 'friends' who have found support in their journey both here and there...

Have you considered a known donor?  That would take the pressure off, at least.  Two times is not enough for the most fertile, sometimes.

I am not familiar with the drug, however.

Good luck to to you!
