viroes, i totally get the wanting to move on.  for almost 19 months i pretty much just jumped from procedure to procedure so i'd have something to look forward to.  will you give your body any time to rest in between?

laura, that's a kick ass beta!!! i am so excited for you.  i keep peeing on sticks to make sure i'm still pregnant, i can't wait to have actual doubling betas.

rcr, how did the chicken burial go?  sorry to hear your son has ringworm.  did you find out how to get rid of it?   also, thanks for the story about your dh.  i think i often expect my dh to react exactly like i do, and obviously he doesn't!  he's actually gotten a bit more excited yesterday.  he confessed that when i first showed him the test he didn't see the line!  it was 5:45 am, he didn't have his glasses on, and was still half asleep.  i guess i can't really blame him!

mom, three cheers for dr t!!! again, thanks again, 100 times thank you, for giving me that initial recommendation to go to him.  going to SIRM was the best decision i ever made.  i was reluctant to leave my last RE, but i really doubt they ever would have been able to get me pregnant.

to all the ladies,  it's crazy how entwined some of us get in each others' lives. i'm so happy when people are able to make brief stops here, but for those of us who had a bit more of a struggle (no woman left behind RCR! you're next!), it's like watching family graduate.  i mean, who DIDN'T cry when blue got her natural bfp??  i felt the same way stalking the grads thread and watching everyone who i met when i first started move on and give birth to beautiful babies.  the ivf advice and support we share here is priceless.  obviously hormones are making me sappy, but i have never been more grateful for finding this board.

afm, today's line is darker than the control practically, so i think i'm still in the game.  i just want to take my beta already!

I found this recently and hadn't seen anyone talking about eating avocados during IVF before.  I figure it is tastes good so why not give it a go.  Anyone read anything about avocados before?

Aura- We live abroad right now and we had no IVF coverage in the states. I can get three to four fresh rounds for the price of one when we return.  We are not sure how long we will stay abroad, it depends on DHs work.  It is a lot less stressful knowing that we can afford to try again than if we wait and return home and have to worry about the cost of each cycle.   I had success with this doctor on the first go last time, so hopefully a new fresh cycle will do the trick.  Also I am already 39 so I figure it is best to just keep charging forward.  Since my FET was natural I don't really need the same recovery that a medicated cycle might warrant.  I guess I will see what the RE says this week.

rcr - yeah, I had a reaction to the BCP. I've taken it before years ago, but a different brand, so I was really surprised. Hopefully things will still move along close to as planned.
Ugh, I'm sorry you have to deal with ringworm. I hope it heals up quickly!

blueyezz - no epi-pen, but I'm going to see my doctor this week about getting one just in case.

auraleigh - EEEK! I'm so excited for you. I love seeing those double lines. I'm literally dancing for you right now. Men are so weird about pregnancy stuff. Make sure you celebrate, even if he's not yet.

vireoes - thank you!
I agree about it being less real for men. DH always has issues really feeling it. He often feels badly because I'm so much more emotional over it and he feels like he should be, but often isn't because it's not his body going through it.

AFM - no breakthrough bleed yet after stopping the BCP. I'm not sure it will happen, but I will call the RE on Tuesday if it doesn't and we'll take it from there.

Vireos, I don't blame you! Better get those eggs while they're fresh and you can!

Daisy, I had the same thing right before my fresh cycle. Good that they found it and can treat it!

Shesaid, hope af comes soon!

Afm, lots of laying. Lots. Is it Monday yet?

Did a little Googling and am wondering if this was caused by my recent miscarriage. Anyway, glad it has an easy solution!

Laura and aura - congrats to you both!!!! joy.gifjoy.gif

It's so encouraging to see 2 ladies who have never yet seen 2 lines finally get their BFP's! I can't even imagine how you guys must be feeling right now!

vireoes - really sorry about your BFN. Hugs. I know what you mean about moving forward to not deal with the BFN. At my last BFN (after my IUI) I had an appointment scheduled with my RE the very same day to talk about when I was going to start IVF. I was so excited about moving forward that I barely even realised I had gotten a BFN. However it turns out those feelings were there anyways no matter how hard I tried to ignore them and I spent the next week or so crying all the time for no reason. I guess it's important to mourn no matter how much we wish we could just skip that step.

rcr - glad to hear you did that protocol as well. The info about your doses makes me less worried about OHSS. Thanks for adding that blurb for me, it's perfect :)

AFM - I expect AF to show in just over a week. Then I get to start the IVF! It's so close!

Daisy- Yes, it could be. My OB said I might have had endometritis about a week after I delivered the boys. I had just had 24 hours of antibiotics before I left the hospital so he didn't see the need to do more.

Blue -- Now I wait. My ultrasound is on Oct 15 -- two whole weeks from now. PIO shots are still not my favorite, I'm always tired, and I think the nausea is kicking in. So far so good smile.gif. Really, I should come over to the Graduates thread instead of updating here.

Praying - thanks. It means so much to have all you grads sticking around to root me on.

Aura - Yippee!!! I can't wait to find out how many!!! When is your first scan? How are you feeling? Are you exausted yet? How is DH doing? I hope he is getting more excited.

Hope - thanks for being part of my "team" I love that!

AFM - gah!! what a crappy day. Last week my chicken was killed. Then I got sick. So last night I could not breathe and went to the ER (and It was really bad -I am totally not an ER kind of person). Turns out I have pneumonia . They gave me a breathing treatment and I feel so much better and able to breathe. Then this morning DH calls (he is about 2 1/2 hours away for work) and says that our cat (who lives in his apartment to keep him company) was sick and he was taking him to the vet. We have a very good friend who is our vet in our town, and she is amazing. So I met DH halfway and took the cat back to our own vet. He had kidney failure and was no able to pee (blocked). She wanted to keep him there. On the way home from the vet my mom's assisted living faculity called and told me that mom was on the way to the hospital. She was admitted for a few days. It is not too serious - just a UTI and dehydration. Then as soon as I got home the vet called and said that my cat died. I went up to see him, and just got back.  So hopefully I am getting all of my bad news out of the way so that I can have some good news in December. Thanks for listening to all my totally off topic stuff.

rcr, doesn't it just seem that sometimes when it rains it pours, especially with bad news.  This summer many people that I knew passed away and the trend continues into the fall with fairly young people dying for what appears no apparent reason.  Hopefully good news starts coming your way soon.

rcr -- That is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week. hug.gif I hope this is the end of it.
