toothfairy...I am sending sticky embryo baby dust your way. My clinic tests 15 dp 5 day blast.. so, I think your clinic is right on. I wished my clinic would at least test 14dp5day. Will you rest for a couple of days??? What will you do to keep busy?

Sourire~ That sounds wonderful that you at least have the opportunity to try to conceive naturally. It would be so cool if you were to get pregnant this way and not have to deal with any more fertility stuff. Will you be taking your basal? Checking your cervical mucus? I am sure you will be doing all those things. Keep us posted.

Laggie~ I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. I imagine it comes in waves. I would have scurried away in Costco too if it were me. My husband insisted that I watch this movie that was about a girl living in a gay world and she was bullied for being hetero( a breeder). Anyway, the population of people looked the same as now and all I could keep thinking was how did all these people have IVF success....and i just could not get over it. Needless to say,I'm bruised emotionally too.

Becky~ June 28 will be here before you know it. Will you be doing acupuncture? Consuming lots of protein?

afm` I asked before but got no answers......curious if anyone was on ganarelix and what are you thoughts. Thanks

tracy - I haven't tried ganarelix, sorry I have no idea.

toothfairy - I think that frozen embryos can be a little bit slower to grow and implant, so maybe that is why they test a bit later? In any case, I have everything crossed for you!

Finally pregnant with #1 and #2! Due September 9th, 2014

Excuse me but I was wrong. My clinic tests 9 day past. I miss calculated and  13dp is a bit long. Honestly ,I would call you clinic to make sure it is the right test/lab date and i am so scared of testing but I would test on the 30th which is like the day after your missed period right? Err, I hate waiting.......hope you are keeping busy .

Laggie` thanks for you reply about the ganarelix..

afm~ now my clinic is thinking of just having me do birthcontrol pills, then estradiol then progesterone...no lupron......no ganarelix. Has anyone heard of a protocol like this. I would have an extra ultrasound to make sure my follicles don't look like they are stimulating. It makes me wonder why( in my case) use the lupron. Is is because some women will ovulate while on birthcontrol pills anyway so it's taking extra caution? Is it because the extra ultrasound costs more money and time on the clinic's end and easier to just use a suppression drug for the luteinizing hormone?

Xerella,do you have any idea?

toothfairy, I will be praying that your little embryos nuzzle in for the long haul.  I know I had a bunch of cheapie internet hpt's and started them about 6 days after my 2 day transfer. Generally I have always been a wait and see tester, so I guess go with your gut.

tracy, I took ganirelix as part of my IVF protocol. It burned everytime I injected it and had some headaches but nothing that tylenol wouldn't kick to the curb.

Tooth fairy- congrats on the good transfer!!!!

Teresaesa- I'm sorry sbout the BFN. It sucks. I think we all understand the sadness/anger and everything in between. This is a safe place to express all that. hug.gif

Becky- welcome! wave.gif

Sourire- I'm sorry about the u/s. even when you know the truth it's hard to see it on the screen.

Tracy- sorry I missed this earlier. I was on ganirelix for my cycles but later on in the cycle to prevent premature ovulation. I know some women are on it earlier to keep LH down. I forget, are you doing another FET or a fresh cycle? My next cycle will be a natural start. No BCP, no Lupron, I just call on the first day of my period. They do it because my response has been poor and this will keep me from being suppressed. If its an FET, it could just be a natural cycle with a little boost. So maybe you will ovulate anyways and they'll just plan the transfer around your natural cycle. I like this idea because then you could still try that cycle! LOL

Laggie and everyone else. wave.gif

AFM- I started bleeding right at 6 weeks which was no surprise, but depressing anyways. I'll start the weekly blood tests to watch the beta drop. The good news is that I can do the next IVF try as soon as I get my period again, so that's nice. Now I just need to ovulate and get everything moving.

And then: I'm really, really tired of making angels.

But wait, could it really be true?

Laggie - my next appointment with my RE is in 2 weeks. I loved your comment "Yes, I know I'm irrational. No, I don't give a crap." You rock!

toothfairy - I hope those babies are snuggling into your uterus right now! My clinic does betas 10dp5dayFET, your clinic does seem like it's doing it pretty late.

tracy - yes I started temping again for the first time in like 6 months. I started ovulation tests as well this morning since I'm already on day 11 of my cycle. I feels so strange to be trying naturally after all we've been through! At my ultrasound on Tuesday they saw a nice plump follie growing so I'm sure I'll ovulate within the next week! I totally empathize with you about being upset with that movie. The other day I was watching a show on TV where they were breeding pigs using IUI's and the pigs pretty much were guaranteed to get pregnant from 1 IUI and I was actually jealous of the pigs on the show! How crazy is that? I don't have any experience with Ganirelix, I was on Orgulatran for my IVF cycle, I think it's pretty similar though. That protocol they want you to do, is it for IVF or for a FET? I've never heard of anything like it.

Xerxella - I'm glad you started bleeding so that things can move forward, but really sorry you're having to go through this again. Wow that's really cool that they're letting you start IVF just 1 month later, my clinic said I had to wait 2 months for my FET. Though I'm hoping to convince my RE to reduce the waiting time when I see him in 2 weeks.

AFM - I tried to go back to work yesterday (for the first time since my m/c) and it was a disaster. I basically spent the whole day having the worst anxiety attacks ever (I could hardly breathe) and at one point I had to call my psychologist so she could talk me through it. So I went back to the doctor this morning and got a note for another week off, now I don't have to go back until June 3rd. I couldn't get an appointment with my family doctor on such short notice so I just went to a walk in clinic and the doctor I saw was an absolute angel, one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. She seemed really sad to hear about my miscarriage and she told me I have every right to grieve even though the loss was so early and that I should take however much time off I need to get through this and I shouldn't rush going back to work. I think I'm in love with her.

NO!!!!, I wish. You have to read some of the old posts to see where everyone is in their cycle. I suggest that you post in...http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1334294/ivf-graduates-thread.  Because you are pregnant and may get more support there. Try it. Just jump in and introduce yourself and tell everyone how you are feeling.smile.gif

Toothfairy - oh no greensad.gif I'm hoping its just a late implantation. I hear those are pretty common for FETs.

TF~ Don't be discouraged yet....even if you implanted on Sunday it still would most likely be negative still because the HCG has to build up.  And, you may have implanted today. I would test on the 30th(Thursday). *hugs* I know it is so frustrating and the wait is awful!hug2.gif

I randomly stumbled across the coolest thing ever yesterday: a pregnancy test that tells you your hCG level! Pure genius! Www.detect5.com

They're not cheap but I'm definitely buying them next time I get a BFP. After what happened last time I was pregnant I will be needing constant reassurance about my hCG level.

I do! I got a positive this morning. It isn't super dark but its nearly identical to my last pregnancy. That was 12dpo, this was 13. Hoping its just because the frozen embryos take a little longer. Still praying for 2. My beta isn't until the 10th because I'm on vacation.

Toothfairy- yay fingers crossed!! Hope all goes well...

Tracy - I used Ganerellix late in my IVF cycle both times. It was easy/prepackaged injections for me- I had more issues with follistim injections (site bruising, etc) than I did with the Ganerellix. My cycles were estrogen (#1) or lupron(#2) primed followed by follistim and then Ganerellix added in to prevent premature ovulation. First cycle had menapur as well as F&G but I reacted poorly to it (headaches, diarrhea, etc...) so second round was follistim + Ganerellix only. I hope all goes well for you this round!!

I don't know if any of you remember me, but i wanted to pop in and say congrats to those of you who i knew from the Infertility ONE threads.   I noticed that thread has gone quiet and most everyone who was there has moved here.  I also wanted to let those of you who do remember me know that i had a medically necessary hysterectomy a week in a half ago.  The doctor found SOOOOOO much scar tissue and found that my uterus was completely attached to my bladder with the scar tissue.  The scaring had also caused my "good fat" that was supposed to protect my organs to be pushed out of the way.  I am already feeling better and back at work.  I just wanted to say hi, and congrats and good luck to anyone else still left here.  I obviously won't be trying anymore.  Love you ladies and thank you all for the encouragement that was sent out to me over the last 3 1/2 years! I really do appreciate it and i probably would have never made it thru without the encouragement from you ladies!  <3 you all!!!

Well it's pretty quiet around here these days, I guess because nobody is cycling right now! Is anybody starting a cycle soon?

I just had an appointment with my RE this morning. He put me on Lupron again since that worked last time, but I convinced him to do it for only 1 month instead of 2 because delays drive me nuts. So when I get my next AF (probably next week) I start the Lupron, then 4 weeks later I go right into my next FET cycle. I complained to the RE about the horrible side effects I had when I was on Lupron so he put me on hormone replacement therapy as well (estrace + provera) to reduce the side effects.

I also convinced him to order the tests for anti-phospholipid antibodies but I have to wait until 6 weeks after my miscarriage to get that test done so I might not get the results in time to use them on my next FET.
