I have my first ultrasound on the 18th, so that's at 7.5 weeks. If all goes well, we will tell our families after that, but I won't be telling the whole world until around 14 weeks at least. On April 20th we are flying to the Netherlands to visit DHs family, so it will be a surprise and we'll tell them when we are there. I hope I am not puking the whole time on the plane. Hmm, maybe this belongs in the graduates thread? I feel like I have one foot over here and one foot over there.

Finally pregnant with #1 and #2! Due September 9th, 2014

wow blueeyezz!!!!! You're almost there! I saw your ticker's at 39 weeks!!!!

lilac - I think 7 weeks is a good time. You should be able to see a heartbeat. Any earlier than that and there may not be a heartbeat and everything may just be fine. For me, at least, that's just too stressful. Your betas would tell you if things are going along well, so you might as well wait until you can see something, IMO. And congrats on your niece!!!!

rcr - That's a great number and a great doubling time. I can't wait to your u/s to find out if one or 2 stuck in there!

laggie - I'm glad the massage helped! My back hurt through all my pregnancies. I heard it was just the progesterone causing muscles to relax. shrug.gif

wave.gif to everyone else!!!

Married to one of the last good guys left Jim
Mom to AJ 4/07 and Genevieve 5/09

And then: I'm really, really tired of making angels.

But wait, could it really be true?

Tracy - I've never had headaches while on Lupron, but I'm not generally prone to headaches. What form of estradiol are you taking?

AFM - it's been 1 week since I started the estrogen patches and my hot flashes have finally decreased enough that they don't bother me anymore. I really started seeing a difference after I doubled my dose on Sunday. I can also tell the estrogen is doing its job because I started getting huge globs of EWCM. I never saw a single drop of any type of CM while I was on Lupron (I could have worn the same undies for a week and they would have still been clean). My lining check is this Sunday.

Today I went to Babys R Us to dream.  It was fun looking at all the tiny little clothes and dreaming of them being filled with my babies.  Waiting for a positive pregnancy test when PUPO is so hard. I am still temping even though I did IVF and so far my temps are above my average temps for the last 6 cycles so either I am pregnant or the progesterone is really doing its job. Last night I was having stabbing nipple pain. That is new.  It was really tough to sleep last night but yesterday afternoon I was totally tired. Um maybe the nap screwed up my ability to sleep at night.  Anyway.  Off to make some ruffly pants for a friend's little girl for her birthday.

I have already tested yesterday and today even though I know it is way too early and they were negative. I have enough test strips to use one a day up to and including my beta day April 10.

Man have I been emotional tonight. I was crying at the news story of the pope blessing a young man with cerebral palsy.

My back has been aching something awful. Common to pregnancy? Still can't believe I fell asleep this afternoon.

I think the interview went pretty well. The other people who were interviewing before and after me were looking for their first time job and I have 12 years of experience so hopefully I have that going for me. I am a teacher. Taking maternity leave should be that hard to take but since I have to find a new job, it means I am losing all the accumulated weeks of maternity leave at my current job. That is a major bummer. But a new job I will have eventually.

Lilac -that is really sweet that you went to BRU to dream. I also have been dreaming. I was looking at woven wraps online yesterday.

Sourire - glad the hot flashes are not as bad. I meant to reply before, but yea, I got them too. It was not as bad as yours sounded, but I was only on lupron for a few days.

Lilac - I have a hard time with maternity leave too. I basically have to take the whole semester off, because it is impossible to cut college classes into two instructors for one semester. Kinda like teachers, it just screws up the whole dynamic of a class when I am gone for that much time.

AFM - I am trying to not post here as much, but it is weird because I still feel like I have one foot in here and one in the grads thread. But I guess I am now a lot closer to the grads thread because we found a heartbeat today!! heartbeat.gif Only one little bean, which I admit I was a little sad about at first, but I quickly got over that and I am so excited!! Plus now I can have a homebirth, which is really hard to do with twins in my state. So I am going to try to just lurk here and move on to the grads thread.

Mom to DS 12/07 and DD 11/13, plus a bunch of chickens, dogs, and cats.

Moving past many years of infertility and always thinking of my friends in the infertility forums.

Rcr, I hope my little embryos have made me their 9 month home and I can move over to grads. I am glad you are over the hump and saw a heartbeat. How exciting! I can't believe that "homebirth" is illegal in your state. My mom had me and my next sister in a hospital then here next 5 babies were unassisted childbirths at home. My mom always went to a doctor for prenatal visits and they put her with the high risk doctor because she would ultimately have a home birth. I am really hoping I only have one baby too since I would love to birth at home.

Tracy, I would love a chemistry teaching job. I hope I get to round 2 where I teach a 20 Minute lesson on a topic of their choosing.

afm, my back was killing me last night. Woke up at 3 am and took my temp and it was the low end of my luteal phase normal temps then I went back to sleep until 7:20 am took my temp then and it had jumped up to 97.9 degrees. My back still is sore and now my mouth tastes like I have been sucking on a piece of metal. I tested again with same hpt i used at 3 am and there is a faint shadow. I think tomorrow I will see a line. Getting excited.

rcr -That's so wonderful to have seen a heartbeat!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!! That must be one strong bean to be in there with betas that high! That's a super good sign!

lilac - So was there a faint line????!?!?!? A line is a line, of course.... Will you post it so we can all hem and haw over it with you. (Maybe post it in a spoiler so people don't have to look at it if it's too hard.)

tracy - I hope the estradiol is helping!

AFM - It doesn't appear that there's any surprise pregnancy. I'm just waiting for my period to start a natural cycle. IVF #1 take 2.

Well I took pictures of the trigger shot hpts and the three I have done so far. The shadow I saw this  morning has tried away now. Even playing with it on the computer and messing around with saturation and contrast hardly brought up the faint lines from the trigger shot hpts but nothing on today's hpt.  I think I will wait to post pictures until there is really something to see. I will have to figure out how to do a spoiler. Never uploaded a photo like that.

I don't know if we can spoiler photos here, but you can upload them to imgur and then just post the link. Personally I sometimes find the photos upsetting, so I'd rather not have them right on the page.

Nope, no positive hpt this morning.  Terrible headache, weird metal taste in my mouth, backache, neck hurts, crampy/stabby feeling in uterus.  Temperature still up.  Hoping tomorrow will be a positive test.

I got a positive pregnancy test today! I am so excited. My mom was ecstatic. DH's parents were happy too but not quite so gushing about it. I can hardly believe the ivf worked. Beta test on Wed and Friday. It was pretty funny because the internet cheapie test had a discernable faint line, the dollar store had a fainter barely there line and my DH said those lines seem a bit ambiguous because they are so light. I told him wait a minute let me get out the big guns (aka digital hpt). took it out dipped in pee and in a couple minutes it flashed pregnant. I jumped up and down and screamed for joy and we both cried.

Congrats Lilac!

AFM - had my lining check this morning. Lining is at 11mm which is perfect. However I'm not starting progesterone until Thursday because apparently the embryologists don't like working on the weekends (pffff) so my transfer will be on Tuesday April 16.
