My wife and I finally decided to try to conceive our first child. My first fertility Dr appt was last Monday. Dr said I'm not ovulating my periods are short. Did bld work that confirmed I'm not ovulating. So soon ill start clomid. Wondering if doing at home iui is stupid to do on my 1St ttc. We are new to this. So confusing!! It'll be great if yall can share your home iui experience

Welcome dondon1!  You may want to also ask your question in the Queer Conceptions thread here.  There are lots of folks experienced with home IUI there.  There is a thread on this topic also in the Queer Parenting forum.  We did them at home with a midwife, but my monitoring was done through my dr.  I think doing them at home would be fine as long as you are doing monitoring to make sure you are going to ovulate.  There's no point in using expensive sperm if you aren't ovulating.  Good luck!

Married to a wonderful woman since 2010. Baby boy C arrived in June 2013!
