Just got done with my cd12 u/s. It looks like I have two follies trying to take the lead at 18 and 19. I had 4 or 5 more from 10-15 that he hope will get a little bigger with more bravelle. I'm feeling a little discouraged and I really don't know why. It may be because I thought I knew our timeline. I should know by now that nothing on this journey goes by "my timeline." We go back in tomorrow for another u/s.

Hi ladies, congrats laggie! I just wanted to let you know that I'm lurking lol, it felt rude just to hover... I've been ttc for 12 months and am now dabbling with meds due to being old (lol 39). (Dh and I have been married 8 years, but when we were planning on starting out family I had 5 or so years of health issues)
I want to follow on here because there are several ladies from the scenic route that I've been charting with on here, and I'm keen to follow their journeys, your journeys and pick up info along the way.
One quick question, has anyone had o much earlier after taking letrozole? I had a sharp temp rise today - 4 days earlier than normal.

me 39, DH 39, one (TTC since November 2012) At least one confirmed chem.Ivf #1 march 2014 - 6 day 6 blasts, two transferred bfn, 4 frosties. Ivf #2 may, cancelled, Ivf #3 July two transferred, 3 frosties... BFP! 15dpo 336 hcg, 17dpo 681 hcg... Scan at 6+4 wks - twins!! Feeling more blessed than words

Chuord-hello dear friend! I'm glad to see you here (well sort of haha)...BFP's soon smile.gif

X-I think it sounds good. I am really not sure why I'm feeling off...well I guess it could be all of the hormones right?!? I guess I expected to have lots of good follies today...once again I need to stop expecting! When I was on clomid for my Iui's I would always have around 4 to 6 good sized follicles. I guess I expected it to be a little bit different with the Bravelle. Maybe it's just taking a little bit more time and effort to make good quality eggies!!

Laggie - Sending lots of sticky vibes your way! Hope your beta numbers are good.

AFM, sorry I've been MIA. I've been reading along, but not really in the right head space to participate much. I ended up having an anovulatory cycle followed by a 10-day AF, and now my body's giving me all sorts of mixed signals and I just don't know what to think as far as ovulation goes. I'm also swaying back and forth between wanting this to happen and just washing my hands of the whole thing for now. I wanted my kids to be close together, but I don't know if that's going to happen. Since I'm young (not quite 30), I know there will be more kids eventually. I just feel like it's out of my hands, in more ways than one. Also, we're seriously considering a job offer in another state, and I'm not at all sure I want to give birth there. I've definitely spent a lot more mental and emotional energy on that than on TTC lately. I may try some cinnamon capsules though.

Wishing you all the best, and I will still be reading along. I'll try to be less of a wallflower if I can!

I just caught up on about five pages here and was so glad to see a BFp happen. Yay, laggie!

I think my situation is different than most here because I can get pregnant like nobody's business, but they just don't stick (except my first pregnancy - thank god for my son). It's been almost a year since my last miscarriage and I'm considering getting my iud removed and trying again. I might need progesterone because I tend to spot, have a few ovarian cysts, and have low basal temps and luteal phase of 10 days. All my losses have been early, too - about 5 weeks.

Anyone with experience have ideas? I finally set aside money to see a female wellness herbalist. My appointment is on Sunday.

Monkey science, I had the same concerns about children nt being closed in age. At this point my son will be 4-5 at least before the next one. It had me thinking it might not be worth it to have another but I've slowly changed my mind. I happened upon lots of people with spaced kids who told me it is not bad, just different. Rather than having a buddy relationship, they might be able to help and be a role model to the younger.

LittleKind, I know my doctor kept just checking TSH but make sure the* test T3 and T4 as well. One of them is "free" can't remember which one but it is the precursor to making the other thyroid hormone and the TSH measurement didn't give the whole picture. My cycles became more regular even though my basal body temperature never increased.

rcr - OMG you are so funny! I am not sure if it's dancing bananas time yet or not... after all, I did have a BFP earlier this year. Although hopefully with these nice young eggs, this one will stick. I do appreciate the wall of dancing veggies though!

I managed to get in for the beta today, at 15 minutes before the lab closed, and the results just came online. HCG is 203 (9dp5dt), and progesterone is 38. So, I think it looks pretty good. The beta of 203 is quite a bit higher than I've had before, but I think the tests were earlier. I do feel like this one implanted right away.

I'm all set with sparkling apple juice and near-beer for tonight. Maybe DH will let me have a sip of champagne. :love

Finally pregnant with #1 and #2! Due September 9th, 2014

So for those of you doing cinnamon - the only inexpensive cinnamon I could find also has chromium in it. Any idea why this is, or if there's any advantage/disadvantage to it? Also, there are warning labels saying it's not for pregnant/nursing women, and I'm curious if this is just the standard liability disclaimer (which usually says talk to your doctor, not don't take it), or if there's something to it? Honestly, I could easily eat the amount of cinnamon in the capsules in various food throughout the day, so I don't see why it should be a big deal.

I am so happy for you! Congratulations! Those numbers are fantastic! I am thinking twins too joy.gif

Adiejan- those follicules sound promising! Your trigger shot must be any day now. Good luck and keep us up dated.

Mo- it's really a good idea to not take meds unless you are certain you need them. I had lots of trouble when I was put on insulin too soon. Thankfully that has been corrected and I am off it again but still...

Monkey- I sympathize about not being in the right space to post. Hang in there and we will be here when you are feeling up to it.

AFM- we jumped in with both feet to our new cycle. Only had half our meds and one lonely vial of sperm but we are going with it. Now on day 4 of stems and I am crying at everything and just this afternoon am starting to feel a little too full in the lower belly. Really hoping for a great big cycle just short of OHSS since the doctor seems to think this will be all the sperm we get from DH. We are going to try for one more frozen vial before retrieval. Doctor is pushing for backup vials from a donor but it is to difficult for us to consider just yet. As long as we have an option for DH in any form that is our preferred path. Now if I can just get the rest of my meds by tomorrow afternoon...

I finally got through to my nurse and doc. My appointment with a doc to specializes in women with PCOS is scheduled for January 10 at 2:30pm (EST). More than likely he won't do that ultrasound then but he will probably put in the order for it. At least I'll be meeting with someone to discuss my growing concerns.

You know what I'm not looking forward to? The look on the nurse's face when she says "When was the first day of your last period?" and I say "October 2013". :rotflmaojaw.gif

I just had my egg retrieval. I'm kind of a mess. Went into it thinking I had 2 great sized follicles and one catching up. They got in there and found that both large follies were empty!!!!! They were able to retrieve 3 immature eggs that we will see how they grow today. I am feeling so discouraged. I HATE infertility.

Adiejan - I'm sorry, that is disappointing. I hope you get a healthy embryo out of this cycle.

AFM, today's beta was 555, which is a 48 hour doubling time. That's good, right? I'm kind of bouncing between my GP (who is clueless about the IVF process) and the clinic in Greece to get test requisitions and prescriptions. I don't think it's a twins number in any case.

Finally pregnant with #1 and #2! Due September 9th, 2014
