@girlspn We went straight to IVF after discovering that we both had issues.  We'd already gone through lots of clomid and surgery before discovering the MF issues (bad doctor at the time)

@Kewpie80-how were your follies today? Good luck with ER on Tuesday. I'll be thinking about you!

Has anyone used Pregnitude before? I just bought some to give it a whirl to try to make better eggies before our next go around. My dr said you start recruiting eggs for a cycle about 2-3 months before so I'm looking ahead haha smile.gif

Hello and hugs to everyone. Thanks for being so helpful and providing so much information about the process.

Our appointment with the urologist is next Wednesday. I am going in tomorrow for a rubella shot. Then hopefully we can move forward and get this show on the road. Please leave me in the  IVF section for now.

I know we both need this....the anniversary of my husband's accident is coming up and its always a difficult time of the year for both of us. Also my school term is coming to an end. I will take 1 class in May and 1 in July but I have a good 2-3 weeks break as long as I finish up all my work first.

This is my last week at my part-time job (term position that I knew was ending) but it is difficult to leave (I love my job and the people I work with who have been very supportive so far). So we have dealt with the budget and made some adjustments so that we can survive on just my husband's income while I try to find another job.

Sometimes I don't even want to talk about me when I read about what others are going through :(

AFM: this weekend was nice. Hubby and I finally tested his sperm with the home kit (that was QUITE an experience LOL) and he is good to go. Got a VERY positive line so he has the volume, now all the other stuff, we will leave that the real test with the doc should he think it's necessary. We managed to have a child-free night on Saturday night and took advantage of it to just have some (TMI ALERT!) good ol' fashion fun in bed like we used to. Sorry! We're newlyweds and sometimes can't get enough of each other.

We also talked a little bit about our plan going forward so we are going to do what we must this cycle. If that means, BDing every other day, then so be it. I FINALLY downloaded Fertlity Friend. That app has way too much #$*@ going on but I'm committed and will update it. That's about it. Here's to baby making!

@adiejan - I'm glad to hear that you have an answer, and it was a "one time" sort of thing..

@chuord - *hugs*  I can't imagine going through two back-to-back retrieval cycles, but I started the letrozole in one cycle to retrieve the next, so maybe that wouldn't be so bad?

@mainebaby - I wondered if you were commuting all the way to Boston!  I'm out in W.Mass + going to a clinic out here.

@girlspn - we did a few IUIs first before IVF - but it depends on your situation somewhat.

@NaturallyMo - FF can be a little intimidating, but a lot of the charts + things can be useful once you get comfortable with it.  But, you don't really have anything to look at except this cycle for awhile, so don't stress about it :)

@Kewpie80 - good luck tomorrow!

*hugs* to everyone!

DH(37) + I(36) have been working on collaborative project #1 for 6 years, fighting more battles than I ever imagined.

2/2014 - IVF cycle = 2ndtri.gif due in late November!

Sorry I’ve been slacking on this thread; I won’t get to everyone but have been reading along. Been trying to stay positive & get lots of rest.

@chuord - So sorry to hear about your BFN. Glad to hear your insurance will cover a second fresh cycle. GL with this next cycle!

@Kewpie80 - Best wishes for retrieval Tues!

@tinytina - Hope you get answers you’re looking for at the urologist :)

@Autumnlaughing - Oh OK. We're so lucky we have a Boston IVF in South Portland, the next town over from us.

AFM: Transferred one blast Saturday, will update with freezing report soon.

Update: please move me to IVF 2ww

GL to everyone and lots of love & babydust.

@chuord  - So sorry :Hug  That sucks big time.  Does your doctor have any ideas?

@mainebaby  - Hoping for lots of frosties for you!

AFM - I got a + on the hcg test this morning, so my trigger worked.  I am so not feeling good right now.  I'll be glad when tomorrow is over.

OK just got off the phone with the nurse. We got 8 blasts frozen! I had said to myself when this cycle started, if I can just have 7 or 8 make it to freeze, I can be happy with that. So grateful right now.

We did mini IVF but found I had empty follicles. That makes me wonder how many were empty with IUI. What are you thinking?

I'm weighing the pros and cons of IUI vs IVF. I'm using donor sperm (no husband/partner). It's a premature question, but I'm just trying to get an idea how many cycles of IUI is reasonable before further steps. I don't have insurance, and couldn't afford IVF if too many rounds of IUI didn't take. And the fact that IVF has a much higher success rate w/ possibility of frozen embryos for future use. It took me (and ex-h) two years to conceive dd. I don't always ovulate on my own.

Either way it's nice to have some answers. 99% of babies with turners miscarriage and there is not a high likelihood it will happen again. Just an issue with either the egg or sperm. Right now just seeing when AF will come so we can decide when to do IVF again. This time we will do traditional to get more eggs...even one mature would be nice haha. I'm super depressed and anxious but trying hard to pull out of it! Hugs to you all! Also can we put in a section like waiting after a loss?

I'm sorry for your loss... can they do genetic testing on embryos before transfer?

Has your re suggested a path for you,

No, my dr is an ob/gyn, and he pretty much just monitors my cycle, prescribes meds if necessary. There are no REs in my area.

At the fertility clinic I go to, a lot of women are over 40, and the clinic only transfer frozen embryos. The embryologist said the chances are better like with frozen, which really surprised me.

I had an egg retrieval done before for egg donation 8 years ago, and was hospitalized for ohss. Take care!!

Thanks ladies - I'm much better, I expected it but yet it still let out all that emotion...

Mainebaby - that is great news, congrats!

Kewpie - woohoo and ouch, I was almost as sore the day before retrieval (after trigger) as after retrieval... Be kind to yourself - harder with children I'm sure wink1.gif
Mo - lol you two are cute wink1.gif
Tracy - where are you at? Cycles synced?
Girlspn - ok I understand smile.gif strange Bout the frosties, ours rates them as equal with fresh providing they survive the freeze/thaw... One of my friends only got pg on fresh, it feel to me more like gambling - both can work fine it just depends on other stuff going on. Good luck with the iui, maybe this will be it and ivf isn't an issue!
We have a docs appointment today at midday as a follow up and plan for next cycle... If AF waits a few more days I think I'll be good to go. The clinic has no issues with back to back assuming the ovaries have recovered enough at cd2 ultrasound. To add a complication he goes on three weeks holiday from April 24- may19 so if I miss this cycle then it will be miss two in a row... Anyway I wallowed enough yesterday to heal and get it out of my system - sometimes it's a good process. One thing that was weird my progesterone was only 22! Considering I was on 3 crinone and 8 provera tablets I surprised it was less than a natural cycle.
Good luck everyone!

Hi all: just popping in to say hi. It has been ages since I was last here, or even on MDC. Funny how I was here like every day almost for 6 years. I do think of you often and I am always rooting for you - even those "new" folks whom I don't really know.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi... going back to lurking.

Hi Rebecca!!!!!!! I sent you a pm but you can ignore it now. It's old. You are a busy mama! Have you read about my new journey? One question for you, how was your vitamin D levels at the time of your transfer if you can remember and did it matter if your donors level was good?

Tracyamber I just read back about seven pages. Are you doing donor eggs? Embryos? Please tell me. I am excited for you, whatever it is. I just posted a photo on the grads thread. Not sure if stuff like that helps or not. I know it can feel bad but give people hope too. But take a peek at her over there if you are the kind of person who is encouraged by that. They did test my vitamin D levels, but they were fine. The donor was long gone (the embryo was over 10 years old, though now it feels weird to refer to my daughter as "the embryo" lol) . I haven't been here in so long I didn't even know that you sent me a PM. I can't wait to hear what is going on with you.
