The clinic claims there is nothing wrong with my LP. From day of surge to day of period is 12 days so they say that is fine. But I didn't O until day 19 this month. I'm trying not to worry (and it is going so well!) but I think if this one fails I will push for the prometrium suppositories.

Until then I have to believe this little jelly bean is going to stick.

@chuord - that's almost exactly how I'd describe how I'm feeling - a little tender, but fine as long as I'm not dashing around!  The moment of sitting can be a little jarring, too...

@Xerxella - it went well :)  the lab called me yesterday morning beforehand + nearly gave me a heart attack - but actually, they were just calling to confirm that I only wanted one if it was high quality, which they were.... of the 10 that fertilized, we put that one back, 4 more were ready to freeze on day 5 (I didn't even know they did that?!), and they anticipated freezing another 3 more today!!  I didn't ask about the grade, exactly, but everyone was very happy. I even got an u/s pic, which I've shown to so many people that DH said I might as well put it on FB.

They said my lining looked great, and the acupuncturist said that everything looked great from her perspective, too - I keep saying that nothing is a sure thing, but this is as good a chance as we could hope for, and certainly loads better than I've ever had.  It's the first time that I've ever had any kind of fertilized anything that I know of, so that's a huge leap forward.  We saw a huge flock of robins on our way home, which seemed like a nice omen, too :)

The 4-7 frosties are a HUGE weight off of both out minds, too.  DH is sooo much happier - we're acting like newlyweds again.  (well, BD is out for a bit.. but, you know...)  I finally started a pintrest board yesterday, too - even if it doesn't work out this time, we have at least a few more solid chances!  (There are very few cute IVF related baby things out there..)

Of course, my resolution to eat only super-healthy, 90+% organic food with Absolutely Nothing that I'm allergic to when pregnant went out the window as soon as I realized that I hadn't really bought dinner food, and was hungry and wanted a cheeseburger like CRAZY.  And *now* I want sake or a margarita like crazy (no interest earlier in the week..)   Also, I ran out of prenatal vitamins this morning.

Sorry, that was a book :)  Anyway, I feel like it's all the Christmases since we started this trip...

DH(37) + I(36) have been working on collaborative project #1 for 6 years, fighting more battles than I ever imagined.

2/2014 - IVF cycle = 2ndtri.gif due in late November!

Hey @Xerxella  I've actually been done with the second round of clomid since last Friday. I'm trying not to be so focused on it this time around to keep me sane. I feel ok with the exception of fatigue and moodiness. Other than that, I started OPKs the other day and I'll test today to see what happens.

@Xerxella - Thank you for responding!  My trigger was 2/13.  My IUI was 2/15.  I took a test yesterday and a faint line appeared.  So I called the dr office and the nurse said that it could still be the HCG shot and that is why our paper work says to test on Sunday 3/2.  So I'm not sure now.  I still don't have my period, but ever since he died my cycles have been shorter (25, 26 days)....used to be 28 days like clockwork.  So I guess I am 13 dpo.

Ilovemykiddos - just hang in there with the wait... I had bloods tested 2-3 days after AF was due and got a negative (hpt pos before then) everyone is different and the trigger and meds can affect length... I know it's no help, but try not to get too stressed waiting.
Xerxella - I would be so excited re Disney land!!!!
Autumn laughing - woohoo for a successful transfer, and what a lot of frosties!!! I'm so hoping for a few of those too! They only freeze the ones that have a good survival rate (for freezing and thawing) so that's a great back up supply!
We are in the waiting room now waiting for a check... Fx they are all growing nicely... I'm assuming retrieval will be next week sometime.
Thanks for all the care - I'm loving it smile.gif
On phone so apologies for lack of personal...

Ivf #2 may, cancelled, Ivf #3 July... BFP! 15dpo 336 hcg, 17dpo 681 hcg... Looking good so far

Tifga - I think 12 days IS probably long enough. Hopefully your period is 9 months late and this will all be a moot point.

Autumn - That's amazing!!!!! It sounds like you have a great lab (or just make great embryos!!!!). And to have 7 frosties from one cycle is wonderful!!! smile.gif So happy for you!

Naturally Mo - om.gif Ohm. I'm tryin to help you be all zen. I hope you get a + OPK soon.

I love my kiddos - I think a + at 12 dpo sounds very encouraging. Was it still + this morning? (Just for reference, last month I did a 15,000 iu trigger and by 9 dpo it was negative. BUT, different people metabolize HCG differently.

Chuord - how did the appointment go?

Married to one of the last good guys left Jim
Mom to AJ 4/07 and Genevieve 5/09

And then: I'm really, really tired of making angels.

But wait, could it really be true?

I'm hopeful... Now just to keep tolerating the sore ovaries until retrieval...
Ladies who've done it before, how long before the larger ovaries go back to normal? Also sore breasts? Is that normal?

Adie- Take your time and do whatever you have to to help you heal. There are no wrong answers here. hug2.gif

Ilovemykiddos - I think that sounds very promising. I haven't see the lines get equal darkness until the HCG gets above the 300 range.

Chuord - when they collect the eggs, they'll drain all the fluid from inside the follicle. But, sometimes the area will regain fluid after retrieval for other reasons. (PS 18 is awesome!).

@ilovemykiddos-so begins beta hell! I'm sorry the waiting game with low numbers sucks. Technically you are considered pregnant over 20 by most RE...technically you are pg over 5. What really matters is the doubling time. It should double every 48 hours. At 15 dp iui that is pretty low. Try to keep calm and see what happens Tuesday! Thoughts are with you!

Hi adie!! Sending hugs xxx

Xerxella - thanks for the info, I hadn't heard it put like that smile.gif I understand that the maturing process takes each egg from 46 to 23 chromosomes (hence why immature ones aren't viable) and that the process of that and ovulation takes a lot of protein and electrolytes out of the body... Every little bit of the puzzle helps!
Oxford - thanks and woohoo on o!
Autumn laughing - sorry it hurt more for you! It's ok I can take it (I think) I'm just over the clexhane shots and the bleeding /bruising it causes.
Ilovenykiddos - hang in there, as adie says it's a blah place to be - hopefully it goes up. When mine was low it went down, but that's not always the case... Go do something that makes you happy, and remember it's nothing you've done wrong, and stressing is not going to help (I know it's hard, but the stressing made me feel soo much worse)
I forgot - final scan all ok, this time he thinks 13 lol so I'm just waiting to see.

@ilovemykiddos congrats on your beta. You are pregnant! Adie is right, it is about the doubling time. I am on another thread and someone had beta 16 and she was very stressed. Two days later it was 73 and since has continue to double. I would call your doctor though and request your second blood test in 2 days rather than 4. It is usually protocol to do it in 2 and it makes no sense to have you stress for 4 days. You could also purchase the pregnancy test that tells you your beta. I have never use it before but sourire ,who has since graduated did use it and it was quite accurate. Hugs to you and I'll be thinking of you when you make your call to the doctors tomorrow and sending super glue sticky dust for doubling numbers .

Hi everyone! Well first cycle post surgery was a bust. AF is here. In addition to the opks that the doc wants me to do I'm also going to be tempting again. It was super stressful to get so many days of pos opks and not know exactly which day I O'd on. 2 more months of cycles before the doc moves me to some sort of fertility drug. Anyways, I have a couple questions for y'all. First is when do you get your dh's counts done? I told mine I'd rather not go through hormone hell without knowing that his counts are good. He agreed, but is that a normal enough time to wait? Or should it be done sooner, later? Also who orderes that test? My gyn, our gp or does he have to go to a urologist just for the storm count? Also how do you make plans for the futur with infertility? Like honestly I thought I would have been pregnant quite some time before now, so I've put off going back to school to become a cosmologist. It's a year long program here and I feel like if I go now I'll be saying I won't be pregnant in another year. If I do go tho and I get pregnant I'd have to drop out. I'm not comfortable with the chemicals and being pregnant at the same time. So I guess I'm asking how do you know how long to put things in hold while waiting to get pregnant? I need to decide soon even though class didn't start till the fall. There are only so many slots for each semester so I've got to jump on it quickly if I'm going to. Sorry for any typos I'm on my kindle.
