@urchin_grey - Welcome.gif I hope your stay here is short and sweet!

@toothfairy2be - 13 is an awesome number!!! That's how many follicles I had growing and how many eggs they retrieved. smile.gif

@chuord - Sorry about the BFN. Natural cycles never work anyways. orngtongue.gif

@shelley4 - So excited for you!!!!!! So, when did you test and get a negative? Was it a FRER? Does your cousin have problems getting pregnant or holding a pregnancy?

AFM - The faintest possible second line yesterday at 4dp5dt. And today, 5dp5dt, a clear positive. It's still light, but clear. And it's early yet. Save the excitement, I've been here before with no take home baby. It's crazy to think that this is my 9th pregnancy....

@Xerxella I still hoping though. I like what you said to @chuord getting pregnant naturally never works. Thinking of you both in this still transitional phase.
@toothfairy2be your last post did crack me up. 13 follicles is great!

thanks everyone.  it really doesn't even seem real yet.  i talked to my cousin last night.  she is of course happy and excited... but a little guarded too... she's been in this place many times before, and it didn't work out.  so we will all feel better once we see the beta tests (i go on tuesday for the first one), and the ultrasound with the heartbeat.  everyone, please cross your fingers that this little guy/gal sticks around.    if it's okay with you, i'd really like to stay on this thread until we know for sure that it's going to work out.

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Saturday!

Facing a ton of schoolwork this weekend.

Hugs @ilovemykiddos. Give yourself time to grieve and heal.

Enjoy your acupuncture appointment @tracyamber. Too scared to try it. You must be getting excited

Hello and welcome @urchin_grey. Have you been to see a doctor yet? Definitely get the ball moving sooner rather than later. We were told if medical intervention is needed doing it sooner (when you are younger) has better success rates. We have been working towards starting IVF since November of last year- sometimes it can take awhile to get started too.

Thanks for encouragement @toothfairy2be. I am trying to feel excited but also feeling a sense of nervousness. Glad your check went well! Grow follicles Grow!

Ack.....congrats @shelley4. Cautious optimism seems to be the word of the day.

Your strength amazes me @chuord. Hugs dear. Thanks for your reminders to be hopeful and calm. Sorry for the negative result.

Super excited for you @Xerxella. I understand your cautious optimism but I am happy for you.

Tina - don't work too hard wink1.gif
Shell - of course hang around till you feel safe or longer, that's how we all tend to feel.

Afm - AF blew in last night with ferocity, cramps are heaps worse than normal and so is the flow (sorry tmi) but it feels good to know my lining was thicker this month, also it feels like a good spring clean smile.gif and that never hurts. Cd1 is full of disappointment but cd2 you start to feel clarity about the month ahead... Hugs everyone on your special journey no matter the stage xxx

I've found different u/s techs can have completely different measurements. Was the weekend u/s tech different from your regular tech? I've had it looked like they didn't grow at all and the next appointment they had grown "double". Some even "shrunk", but in the end I just think it's different u/s tech's measurements.

It's hard to measure follicles. It's like making a guess of size from a 2 dimensional picture of water balloons in a plastic bag.

When your next appointment?

Thanks for the support. Basically 2 days ago I had 13 all under 10. I'm not sure how many she counted today but it looked like fewer follicles in total and that there are still none above 10. I'm waiting for a call to tell me what to do now. We tried an SIRM protocol because I begged my doctor.... Big mistake. My last 2 cycles were SO much better than this.

@toothfairy2be - I would think you could give it a couple more days before making a decision. My lupron flare started slow, but did great in the end.

Xerxella - thanks! Happy Mother's Day to you all! Mine was particularly sucky - heavy AF, heavy cramps and a migraine that seriously had me considering beheading as a cure...
Tf2b - listen to Xerxella and Tracy, wait and see... They had trouble with my follies too (and it was the doc doing the u/s) he started at 12 went down to 8 up to 18 and I got 12 in the end. Also remember that if it's not looking promising enough you can pull out and not do the expensive bit... Or flip it to an iui. Remember you are in control and they are your choices. Huge hugs on all the added trauma, no one needs that!

hey guys.  i had a rough time today.  for whatever reason, i can't get some awful thoughts out of my head.. i keep worrying about miscarriage.  it's been pretty constant all day long.  it doesn't help that my progesterone suppositories leak a bit and make me feel like i'm bleeding.  but i'm not.   my beta test is on tuesday, please keep your fingers crossed for us.  i keep telling this little one to STAY and GROW.

i'm usually pretty positive and optimistic, and i hate feeling worried all the time.  i am doing my best to push those thoughts away and keep the happy thoughts.   blah.

Congrats @Xerxella and @shelley4!!!! Now let's pray for sticky babies! I totally know the feeling Shelley...try to stay positive...you ARE pregnant.

Today has been pretty awful for me. 1 year anniversary of our first loss and Mother's Day. Trying not to lose it but it sure is hard.
I found this and thought I would share with all of you amazing women! Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone and hugs!

Yesterday was a bit of a rough day but I survived. Sorry I never came on to post. I just couldn't face it.

We leave tomorrow afternoon to go up to the city for an evening in a hotel and than my appointment is at 8:00 am on Wednesday. Trying to remain calm but feeling a bit of anxiety over it.

Thanks @chuord. Lots of work in this course- its an intense 6 week course that covers a ton of material. Sorry to hear about AF but your attitude and way of thinking is so refreshing and comforts me to see someone who is so positive.

Thanks for your kind and reassuring and much needed words @Xerxella

@adiejan - Thanks for the video. It was Mother's Day 3 years ago that I woke up to a temperature drop and a negative pregnancy test after our first round of fertility treatments. Not a highlight of my life, to be sure.

@toothfairy2be - I hope your doc has some good answers for you, and your follicles are just off to a slow start. I really have no idea why that would happen, but many hugs to you. :hug

Ok now we've all recovered from the misery of Mother's Day lol... Here's to a successful month (and to X and shell making it to u/s's that are perfect!)
Talked to the nurse yesterday I'm in for a scan on Thursday with a view to start stimming and a potential ER around 27-30 may, so ET could be anywhere from 1-5th June... We plan to fly out to Darwin on the 7th June... For a week so that all fits ok. I had the worst migraine with fs this month - back to two years ago when they were unbearable and panadeine forte just takes the edge off. Talked to the nurse, she thinks if I get hormone migraines anyway, the synarel suppressant spray would have increased the severity - not great but you know the drill it feels better when there's a reason!
Trying to muster up the courage for this cycle, I must say it's easier when not wanting to cut my head off wink1.gif
Tina - bet you're getting excited!
How is everyone and everything going? Pg ladies too - I need updates smile.gif
I love all your stories and seeing everyone have so much determination keeps me going smile.gif

me 40, DH 40, one (TTC since November 2012) At least one confirmed chem.Ivf #1 march 2014 - 6 day 6 blasts, bfn, 4 frosties. Ivf #2 may, cancelled, Ivf #3 July two transferred, 3 frosties... BFP! Scan at 6+4 wks - twins!! Feeling more blessed than words!

My doctor increased my gonal f to 300 and menopur to 150. I get checked tomorrow & need to refill my meds since I was only supposed to be on 187.5 and 37.5.
My acupuncturist thinks it's stress and poor sleep causing the delay. I'm going to try some Tylenol PM the next 2 nights because I've been waking at 3am for weeks. She also said I need to add more to my diet, I'm down to 124lb and I'm 5'8". Making changes & hopefully this cycle can be saved. My left ovary feels achy today so I'm praying all prayers that it's responding, finally.

I have missed a good week since my last post.

So I went to the doctor and found that I have a polyp that needs to be removed. Procedure is set for June 10th. Does anyone know the recovery time since I will need anesthesia? I may take the day after off of work just because.

The next day after my appointment my manager comes up to me to ask how it went. Advised not good. No more no less (he needs no explanation).

His response: go to church. (this as a continuation of my earlier post where he started spouting all that stuff). Is the whole world going crazy?

I am just glad Mother's Day is over. Had to stay away from Facebook. Too depressing. I think when I finally have a child I will look forward to celebrating Mother's Day over any other holiday.

@shelley4 - congrats! understandably you are cautiously optimistic but at least you are over the first hurtle.

@ilovemykiddos I am so sorry. I know that feeling all too well. At least you are still motivated to continue and that is something to be commended.
