I'm trying so hard to stay positive and do my meditations. I have acupuncture today so maybe after that I'll feel more at ease. I've had implantation spotting with all 4 pregnancies so that's what I'm waiting for. Anyone else had spotting from transfer?

thanks!!   and yes, i did have spotting after the transfer.  i actually wonder if the doc gave me a little scratch or something, because it was bright red immediately after the transfer.   went away about 12 hours later.     when do you think your hpt will be accurate?  i have no experience with triggers..

On phone, so will be short.  Of the 14, 13 were mature enough for ICSI and ALL 13 fertilized. I’m hoping at least some of them make it to blast. Transfer is sunday. I’ll get another update on friday on how they’re doing.

Hope4 - thanks smile.gif I'm focussing on applying for jobs instead (I haven't worked in 5 years) not sure I could do ivf and work - but the different focus helps.
Monkey - that's great you're so close to viability... Seems the worrying never leaves right?
Tracy - so excited!!!! Fx for you so tightly lady!
Xerxella - huge hugs!!! I'm an optimist and I'm hoping tomorrow is your miracle - like tootfairy says it's time!
Tf2b - thanks, yes and no with the cheerful - but there's no choice so best enjoy life - it's more fun.
I'm not sure about next month, I'm on suppressant for 10 days to wind the ovaries down (still very sore and queasy) guess we'll scan and see. I'm happy waiting a month if need be... I know it will happen.
Lol you are so brave testing out the trigger, will you keep testing? I'm too scared to generally. Fx for you!!!!
Shell - congrats!!!! Big relief right? Although it seems to be an easier road getting this far first attempt - I totally understand the extra stress because you are doing it for someone else who's had a really tough road.... Well done you!
Hi Mo - hope you are happy? Can you please move me to cancelled ivf?
Oxford - you're doing great - hang in there!
Kewpie - woohooo!!! I now you won't relax till day 5 but that is a much better start than last time... Hoping for a good haul of blasts for you!

me 39, DH 39, one (TTC since November 2012) At least one confirmed chem.Ivf #1 march 2014 - 6 day 6 blasts, bfn, 4 frosties. Ivf #2 may, cancelled, Ivf #3 July two transferred, 3 frosties... BFP! Scan at 6+4 wks - twins!! Feeling more blessed than words!

They look beautiful Tracy! Enjoy your bed rest. It is so funny how much clinics differ on protocol after embryo transfer.

Wonderful news for you too Kewpie!

Yay, Kewpie!! That is awesome. And yay, Tracy!! You were right, you'll have some decisions to make a little later. Hopefully those good, strong embryos inside you are snuggling in right now.

X - Really, really hoping the good luck is rubbing off on you. I'll be stalking obsessively to find out.

TF - Same as above - when is your official beta scheduled?

Everyone else - well, really, I hope we can just have nothing but good news forever on this thread. Which I know won't happen, but I'm cheering for more good news. (And thinking of you and your dh tomorrow, too, TinyTina!)

Kewpie- congratulations on 13 fertilised, that is amazing!! You should be do proud of what your body had achieved. Looking forward to hearing your updates as they grow.

Tracy- beautiful blasts. They are so perfectly formed!! Surely at least one of those is going to snuggle in. Enjoy your rest and well done.

Tina- did everything go well? I'm thinking of you and cheering you on, from across the pond.

Afm- I'm not doing so well today. I took the trigger last night and now all the shots are over my mind has focused on retrieval and it is scaring me. I had nightmares about it last night and woke very distressed this morning. I know a lot of you ladies have been through it, can anyone give any advice? I want to be calm and sleep tonight as we have an early start tomorrow to get to the hospital. Thank you for your support!

Before the site goes down...

We have 2 heartbeats each in their own gestational sac. There might have been a 3rd sac that never really formed and that's fine. It explains the wonky numbers. Each measuring perfectly with heartbeats of 120 & 121.

What a relief. I have a lot to say, but more later...

So much good news around here!!!!

@shelley4 - So happy for you and your cousin!!!!!

@Kewpie80 - That is so awesome!!!! What a great start!! I have never known anyone who had every mature fertilize! Let's hope good things continue for this cycle!

@tracyamber - So happy for you!!!! This armchair embryologist says those look beautiful! And both hatching, too! There are such great implantation rates for hatching blasts! I can hardly believe you have so many still looking good! You will definitely have a chance at that large family you always wanted! orngtongue.gif

@oxford - You're sedated for retrieval, so it's really no big deal. I went out quickly and came to just as quickly. I've done 4 retrievals and only really felt crappy after the third for some reason. Most of the time I felt fine and would go to work that day! It'll really be fine. Physically, it's easy. It's just a nice quick nap. smile.gif

AFM - I'm 6w2d today. Beans were measuring 6w1d and 6w2d.

Ok this new format is weird... Just saying, (mobile) I like to be able to look through the posts as I answer.

Xerxella - woohoo! I've been trying to get on since I got up to find out your news... Now can we say congrats? Also I have to add I had a sneaking suspicion re the twins how are you feeling?

Oxford - huge hugs, just relax and go with the flow (while drinking heaps) do you know how many eggs?
Afm - still sore, headachy and tired a lot. Listened to a lady on headaches she says estrogen out of whack can cause them - really?! I never noticed.
Hoping for more good news from everyone wish I was in the game.

I cannot believe that I am doing another IVF cycle. The last time I did one, I had really bad OHSS, and my abdomen was drained. At the time, I thought I would never do this again.

Tomorrow is my transfer, but my thyroid is still not at the levels the clinic wants it to be. Basically I feel full of doubts doing a cycle given my elevated TSH. Wanting to be pregnant is such a crazy thing!

Splashing puddles - I hope they can get your thyroid under control. It's SO important for fertility issues. Good luck with transfer today!! Come back and let us know the details.

Tracy - How are you holding up? Have you gotten your freeze report, yet?

And who do we complain about with the new format? I do mostly mobile and we've lost all our options. You can't like anyone's posts anymore, you can't link a picture, all the buttons are missing (like the @ button). And I agree with Chuord, I liked being able to scroll back and look at people's posts while responding.

I would suggest some lavendar - a candle, essential oil, or lotion - to help soothe and relax you. Retrieval is intense but not terribly painful. I found the overfull ovaries to be more painful. I felt relief once the follicles had been removed. Good luck.

SO much good stuff going on!!!

TF2B - I didn't have implantation spotting with either, so even though you have with all so far, remember that you may not this time.... I'm so keeping everything crossed for you. You're one of the ones that have been here WAY TOO LONG and deserve your take home baby!!!

X - I said it on the other thread but I HAD to say it here too - CONGRATS!!!!!

Shelley - Congrats on the HB!!

Oxford - just take deep breaths and imagine the good... imagine a good retrieval of lots of mature eggs, good fertilization, good transfer, good implantation... imagine the POSITIVE result of all of this.... let the worry slide away... hang in there!!!

I am so excited by this thread right now!!! This is awesome!! Everyone deserves their take home baby(ies) and I think this should be a month with some good news!!!

Great suggestions for calm- lilacvioletiris

Nice to see you hope4light

Our update: I am scared to even write this out. If I write it out than it becomes real. Me and my husband have spent a lot of time talking about it in the last day. He is being amazing- strong, because he had given this possibility a lot of thought in the last couple weeks, whereas, I had not.

They did the test 6 times yesterday and there was nothing. Even after spinning the samples, they found 3 abnormal sperm and 150 dead. There was nothing to freeze and nothing to use for IVF. So we are left with one real option now, donor sperm.

I am mad, angry at the man who caused my husband's accident and that he took everything from us. I am mad that my husband will never have biological children even though I know he will be an amazing dad and genetics are not everything. I know the truth (in my mind) that it isn't important but my heart is hurting. I never thought we would be dealing with this on top of everything else. I really thought this wouldn't be an issue. I knew it was possible but who thinks it will happen to them?

So next Thursday we are going back to the clinic to figure out our plan with donor sperm. Not sure when we will get to start, probably the cycle in July now.

Me 28, DH 31 , 2 Kitties and working towards having Baby #1.

tinytina - I am so so sorry hun. Take this time to mourn, to scream and yell, cry and have a few drinks. Whatever will help you get through it. Take this time to not worry about the rational side of things, take this time to be angry.

Then, when you start to see the sun and the rainbow through the clouds, remember those of us that have been down the donor path, and how it has worked out OK, even though we (most likely - I know I did) went through the same feelings of anger and hurt and being forced to give up on biology:

I know it's always easy to say when you're out of it as I am, but our DD is not biologically related to DH. She comes from a donor. And you know what? She acts more like my DH than she acts like me. Even though DH would hate to admit it, I know that at this point in our lives, she is his favorite (but admittedly DS is very much a mommy's boy). She smirks like him, laughs like him, has his sense of humor, and oh so much more. She looks like him. She walks like him. To an outsider no one would EVER guess that she isn't biologically his. She loves him more than life itself, and he loves her more than life itself. If you EVER tried to even allude to her not being his, he'd probably go all daddy bear on you and you'd run away screaming for your life. She's his and he's hers. That connection is beyond anything even I have with my DD and it actually sometimes makes me a little jealous. Especially since he's gone more than he's home (he's a pilot).

Funny enough we gave biology one last try and got lucky. DS is biologically his. And as I mentioned above??? DD and her daddy right now are WAY closer than DS and his daddy.

Biology means NOTHING.

Hugs. Take this time.

Me: 34, DH: 36, DD born 7/25/10 After 4 years of trying and failed IVF treatments (missing my angels).  IVF/ICSI worked this time! DS born 1/8/13!

Hi Folks. It has been a really long time since I've written anything here but I'd like to share. We are closing in on 3 years TTC and I have had early losses at 5 and 8 weeks and countless chemical pregnancies. I just got a diagnosis of homozygous c677t MTHFR. I am reading way too much conflicting information about this! What's crazy is that the information behind it and treatments are different depending on who you ask, but the stories of women who have this genetic issue are SO similar to mine. I've shed many tears reading their stories! I was also just informed that when I do get pregnant I will need to have extra monitoring (ok with me) and will need to be induced at 38 weeks (not OK with me, and I will need to do some serious processing/thinking about this). I might get a second opinion.

Has anyone else had this diagnosis?

Hi Lilac! Hope all is well in your life
And hi Xerxella! Congratulations!!!
