I'm new to this forum. I'm looking to hear some feedback. This is such a lonely process! My wife is 38 years old, and on day 8 of her IVF cycle. We just found out there are only 2 follicles (sizes 8, 10). Everything that I have read is that we should cancel the ivf untill we have more follicles. I want to try and make the best decision going forward. Should we cancel or not is the question ?
I haven't done IVF myself, but know many others who have - I would say yes, probably cancel or convert to an IUI cycle. There ARE people who get pregnant with only one or two eggs retrieved, but it's much rarer. Also, if insurance is covering a limited number of tries of IVF, better not to waste it on a sub-par cycle.
If you want more opinions, you could also try posting in this thread - many of the ladies there are doing/have done IVF, and will have better insights.
