Hi ladies!! Sedning everyone !!

I was hoping you guys could help me with something, well my mom really... she actually asked me to post here and see if all my "mother friends" might be able to help.

Her good friend is 36, going on 37, and about to start ttc. She just found out she has an orange-sized fibroid outside of her uterus, and she's not sure what to do about it. Her options are:

a) 3 mos of medication then wait 6 mos to get pg (although may make it harder for her to conceive)
b) surgery to remove it now, then wait 6 mos to get pg
c) just get pregnant with the possibility the fibroid will take blood from the baby (or something like that)

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks so much ladies!! I have x-posted in TTC, but if there is anywhere else I should go for info, please lmk.

Now this isn't an answer really but...my bf this is how he was born, the fibroid grew larger than him (5lbs) his mom almost hemmoragged to death on the table, ended up with a hysterectomy on the spot. I think if you can have it reduced, monitored, treated before getting pregnant it would be worth it, he still blames that for why he never was tall enough to play NFL football I have another friend with massive fibroids and a totally uneventful pregnancy.

I think a high needs pregnancy specialist might tell her best, it might not be much of an issue if its outside and not sharing much space? no idea not a doctor here. Or there might be treatments, tests to monitor her while is is pregnant.

8 might be enough
