I have a 18-month old boy we conceived via IVF. We have one frozen embryo "left over" and are considering using it within the next year. However, my son is a velcro baby who still nurses constantly, and I can't see him weaning anytime soon. And I don't want to wean him -- I'm enjoying our nursing relationship and plan on letting him decide when to stop.

But I'm wondering if 1) the docs would want me to quit before transferring an embryo and 2) if the procedure would do something to my milk supply. I know I'd probably have to do progesterone shots after the transfer but I can't remember if any shots or anything else would be required beforehand.

Formerly New Mama to Henry, born August 2005 and Silas, born November 2010.
