I started prometrium 10 days ago and this is CD28. I've had sore breasts, what I think are increased Montgomery glands, fatigue, crankiness, and bloating. Did anyone else experience these effects with progesterone? Also, can progesterone delay AF? :

Hello- I will tell you from my own experience, progesterone does everything you just said. I detest it because I cannot read my body's signs. However, its doing its job making your body think its pregnant. Its really a bad joke. And yes, it delays AF, and makes the flow heavier, in my opinion.

Thanks, NaturalMom. Why do progesterone, pregnancy, and PMS signs all have to be the same?

Sure have been there Arden. Also, I have to come off the prog. in order to actually get AF. Sometimes it takes a few days. My RE was actually concerned it was screwing up my shortish FP. But how to remedy the low prog. then sir? When I use it, I usually test early and get a blood test on 13-14 dpo.
So sorry everything has the same symptoms.

I've wondered that myself, but for me it has usually turned out to be pregnancy: my preggo symptoms are a lot stronger than the progesterone ones. I hope it's the same for you! : Oh, and it *can* delay AF-- my instructions were always to wait until 14DPO, pee on a stick, and if negative, quit the progesterone to start the next cycle.

Awful, ain't it? Same hormones, same symptoms different meanings... it's like the universe is trying to drive us all insane. If you're on CD28, though, are you close to testing time?

Thanks for all your replies, I'm new to the forum and in need of support! Test day is Wednesday at Dr. office, so guess we'll know for sure then. I've been dying to take a home test but got an hCG trigger shot and don't think I can bear a false positive. These two weeks post-o are the worst!!
