I posted this somewhere else, but perhaps this is a better area...

I have one toddler, 20 months, named Paige. She's the light of my life, and I adore having her around...sometimes I'm overwhelmed, and think she's enough, and most of the time I really, really covet another baby

I want to home school, and I can't help but think two kids around the same age would be perfect because they could enjoy the same activities. I also would rather get the "baby" stuff out of the way, and I think she would love a playmate thats well, not me.

Am I crazy to want two kids this close in age? I struggled when Paige was an infant, and things are so smooth and nice now that I think I'd hate to break it up?

A winter pregnancy would be nice though - we end up hanging out around here so much anyway I could rest and hibernate.

I think that's great spacing actually. Mine are 24 months apart, and it was a bit too close for me. If my ds1 had been 6 months older, it would have been a lot easier, as he would have been out of diapers and more verbal. It also depends on the child. My ds1 is a total handful, so thankfully ds2 is really easy going and it would be much easier to have newborn with him.
I say go for it, 29 months doesn't seem that close together to me

DD1 and DS were only 14.5 months apart Honestly, although this wasn't planned, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

I want another and am really thinking about ttc this summer!! BTW I may be the crazy one my LO is not even 4 mo old yet!! BUt, they way I figure it is that it will prob take me 6 mo to conceive (if I even do) starting maybe in August when DS is 8 mo + another 9 mo of pregnancy. And if I can't conceive with some fertility help I want plenty of time for another adoption without having the kids more than 3 years apart in age. Huh, sounds like i'm insane!!

Another vote for great spacing! I have 2 boys, 26 months apart, it would be so much better is it was more like 30 months. Though life was still pretty darn easy with the 26 months apart! Still I've got that 17 month itch (which is when I concieved DS2).

We have two boys, 2.5 yrs apart. DS1 was 20 months old when we conceived DS2. The spacing is perfect. Now they are 6 and 3.5, and they are close enough in age that they are inseparable playmates.

and 3 , in our happy secular
