Has anyone used the female condom? How did you like it? We can't use male condoms b/c I've devloped a sensitivity to them, ouch! Anyone?

Dp and I tried female condoms once, and weren't too impressed, although I've heard from friends that you have to keep at it a while to get the hang of it. He said it was like making love to a plastic bag, and the outer ring was uncomfortable for me.

Is is the latex you've developed a sensitivity to, or just the lube/spermicide? If it's the latex, there are a couple of polyurethane male condom brands out there. Trojan makes one (with spermicide) and Durex makes another that doesn't have spermicide.

Hope this helps.

Thanks spongie, I will look for the polyurethane condom. I found a photo of a female condom and geez it was frightning, I don't think that is what I want. Oh thanks for mentioning the lube, maybe I will try a different brand.
