I'm 3 months pp and breastfeeding. My dd sleeps more than 6 hours during the night a few times a week though, so we've decided using the LAM might not be so reliable for us. I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility a few weeks ago, and I've been keeping an eye on my cervical fluid (no temping). It's been dry for the most part, but last week I had a definite sticky day, and then it got really stretchy for a couple of days. It was still sticky though (and not slippery). We decided to consider it EW just to be safe.

Can sticky be stretchy, or is stretchy always egg white? Also, now that I've been dry for 3 days, are we safe again as long as I stay dry?

Happily married to my soul mate, and a mommy of two girls + another baby due in June!

At 3mo PP, I would say that yes, it might be EW, just a bit more dry than you are used to.  BF and PP can change your CM a lot.  So, don't expect it to be super typical right away.

If it feels like you were at the right time for ovulation, then it sounds like it could be possible.  Continue keeping an eye on it though!
