one and done?

at the end of the year, i like to go over with my husband what we see in the new year...we are both turning 35 in the new year and we have a 2 year old son.

i said i think i would like to have another baby or at least be pregnant in the new year and he said that he was happy with our family of 3. we talked about it all day yesterday and he seems pretty secure in his reasoning for our family of three.

Of course i can bring it up in a few months, but i am so shocked. never pictured my life with only 1 kid.

i am shocked and pretty upset about it....

any advice for women who have gone through this?

We are having these conversations right now. I want 2, my wife thinks we can't afford to have 2 and we should stick with one and be more financially secure. I hope you can keep talking about it and find a solution that works for both of you. This is a huge decision. I have always wanted at least 2 children and to only have one would be a huge shift in thinking for me.

Married to a wonderful woman since 2010. Baby boy C arrived in June 2013!

Honestly, there is never a 'perfect' time to have a baby. You wait until you are emotionally and physically ready and go for it Money comes and goes but unless you are living on the streets, you can usually figure out how to buy the extra pack of diapers(speaking from experience). My husband wasn't ready for awhile but I was very firm in the fact that I wanted more children so slowly I got him used to the idea. I ended up having my 2nd when my older one was almost 4 and we are so in love with her. We're not ready for number 3 yet but I told my husband that I do want more children so this isn't the end lol
