Anyone have any info on sperm banking?

We just had baby #3 and aren't planning any more. I had a c-section unexpectedly (after 2 uncomplicated vag deliveries) and hindsight being 20/20, I would have asked them to tie my tubes, but didn't want to be rushed into a decision.

We had originally been planning for dh to have a vas, but now he's not sure. He says he's sure he doesn't want any more now, but what about 5 years from now? He doesn't want anything permanent.

I'm 99.9999999% sure I don't want any more children (I don't think I'll ever be 100%, but about 3 weeks before I found out I was pg w/ds2, I was about to tell dh to go in for the vas). If I were to get pg again, I would be thrilled and excited and after baby was born, I'm sure I would wonder how I ever lived without him/her, but I won't make a conscious decision to concieve. Ds2 is a result of failed birth control and I love him dearly, but I hope YKWIM.

I have rough pregnancies, each of my kids have been born earlier and earlier (35w4d,35w1d,34w3d), which makes for a stressful start. If I were to get pg again, my doc (family practice) wouldn't be able to do a vbac- he's not allowed to b/c of insurance crap, so I would need to do a repeat c or get a referral to an OB.

Anyway- if we were to go the sperm bank route, if either of us were ever to change our mind, the option would still be there, but we wouldn't need to worry about failed birth control. Thanks for any thoughts and ideas.
