I want to use natural family planning, but would love to hear the pros and cons of different types. Also any web sites or literature to back it up would be helpful. I am exclusively bf my 9 month old dd. I have had 2 periods since her birth, but the first one was not normal for me. (Maybe that happens after giving birth?) I have those cycle beads, but they are not recommended for bf moms without 4 consistent cycles. I don't want to use any hormonal or semi-permanent birth control since we want to get pregnant in one year. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

NFP/FAM (like NFP but using condoms during the fertile times rather than abstaining) is a little tough to learn when you are having wacky cycles due to nursing, but it is definitely worth it. I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and of course you can post questions here!
