I am wondering if there is an herbal birth control out there that anyone knows about and or has tried.
I went on the pill after a long stint off and bleed for 2.5 months. Than i gained a bunch of wieght and my moods got all funky. So i quit.
I would really like something non-chemical that is fairly reliable. Ill still use a condom during my most fertile times, but i would like a little freedom.
Thanks

I remember reading something somewhere about neem oil, you might want to google it.

Also Vitamin C tablets inserted and allowed to dissolve make the enviornment too acidic for sperm to survive.

Wild carrot seed (aka Queen Anne's Lace) 1 teaspoon of the seeds taken daily starting at ovulation, or immediately after sex during the fertile time, and continued for one week.

But nothing is perfect.

apparently peas help reduce fertility. Not sure of the reliabitlity of them, but it was in one of the books I read while trying to get pg. There is a culture that ate lots of peas and had a really low birth rate naturally....

I should also add that FAM worked really well for us when we wanted to get pg. It is really obvious if you're charting both your CM and your morning temp.

There's lot's of herb's out there that i've worked with, and the key is finding what work's for your body. Some women are very reseptive to herb's and some are not....so, muscle testing comes into play. (a lot of holistic chiropractor's muscle test). Muscle testing is just asking your body what IT need's, and how much of an herb would work for birth control.
Before I had my first daughter, I muscle tested for blessed thisle. It worked until I stopped. Other herb's I know of are wild yam, vit. c.....
But the more I think about it after two babies, I would rather chart my temp just to make sure. Maybe you can find a nutritionalist who will help! Hope you get the info your looking for!!-Nicole

Hi there!

I had the same experience with the pill, except my moods went straight to hell before I quit. The whole experience of getting a normal cycle again was like my body breathing a sigh of relief.
Be advised, if you choose to use FAM your partner has to be with it too. He may or may not understand, and you may both be tempted to use a supplemental barrier method.
If that method fails you likely will get pg, as you will be using that method during your most fertile time.
At any rate, his reaction to having to wait will tell you a lot about your relationship... but as my mother says, there's more than one way to skin a cat. :P
