Could I please be added? I am just starting CTA. I went off the Pill after my last cycle so this is my first official cycle charting. My cycle seemed to be going along o.k. even though I was coming off the Pill but now it seems to have gone a little wacko. I am not sure if I ovulated at all and now I am spotting but my period isn't due for another week. So now I am just kind of waiting to see what happens. I am hoping it doesn't take too many cycles for my body to get to normal after 7 years on the Pill.

I haven't technically started CTA yet. I'm waiting for my first post-HBC AF before I start (though I'm practicing now). I guess that makes me -2 weeks?

Count me in... I just started my 5th cycle since my babe was born today. Not sure whether I'll be on this one or #6 by the time my partner is home with us on the 29th, but either way we're in!!!

We'll be CTA for an unknown for now amount of time... we're in for the long haul though

Welcome triscuits mom! I wasn't sure if you've been charting for 5 mo or are just starting. I put 5 mo but just let me know if you want it changed.

Sorry, Ms. Lurker! seems like I might have copied the list from last month's thread wrong... any other mistakes?

AugustineM I don't think you copied it wrong. I had put 1 mo on everyone who didn't say how long they had been charting as a default.

Well, AF showed up this morning full force so I guess I sucessfully completed my first cycle CTA. So now I am on my 2nd cycle CTA.

If you were previously on the Pill, how long did it take for your cycle to get to "normal" after going off the Pill?

How long did it take everyone elses cycles to regulate after AF returned after childbirth?

This is Cycle 5... the first came just after his first birthday and was 43 days long, the second was 41 days long, and the third was 39 days long. My "normal" cycle length before I had him was always 29 days... this fourth cycle I was expecting another 35-40 days... it was 26 days. My shortest cycle ever.

Thank God for charting... I can't even imagine what I'd be going through otherwise, at least I knew it was coming before it was actually here.

I know there is no way to predict for sure how long the next one will be... but I just thought I'd check in and see how long it took others for their bodies to be back in rhythm again.

Alison, breastfeeding a lot can really make your cycles irregular. For me I think it took about 9 mo PP before my cycles were sort of "normal" (30 days about).

Now they're very normal, 29 days exactly, and my DD is 19 mo.

Thanks for the reminder, I knew I forgot something lol... Breastfeeding! I meant to say that we are still nursing 6, 8, 10, 12... who knows how many times a day Lots at any rate, exact number depending on the events of the day because he's nursed on demand still.

So with that in mind, he's 17 months old... I just wondered when the crazy cycles would return to normal

Augustine - I think you're doing a fine job with the new thread!

My temps are still crazy. I haven't been able to take them regularly, with starting back at work, I'm having to get up earlier than usual, but only twice a week, so it's throwing things off. I guess I'm having an anovulatory cycle, but it seems strange to me, because I just had one in September (though I guess that was awhile ago now). The thing is though, I suspect I may have ovulated day 11, which I've never done before. The CM was definitely there, as was the desire, and I was in pain for awhile before I went to sleep. So, I think it could have been during the night. I figure if that's the case, old AF will show this Thursday or Fri. If not, my cycle will draw out awhile longer. Guess I'll have to wait & see.

Hey, y'all! It's February!

So, Fertility Friend changed my O date. Made it the 1st instead of the 27th. Good thing we are using those other things until we figure out what my cycle is.

Thanks for starting a new month for us AugustineM!

you have to go to "sharing" (on the left side of fertility friend) then click on "home page set up" and copy and paste the URL for your chart - it will look like this http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1abc23. any time you use a url that says index.php or module.php it will take anyone who is logged into the fertility friend to their own chart.

Hi ladies! I've been lurking for a couple of months now. I figured it was time to join you! I don't know exactly how long we've been avoiding. Officially for 3 months, but unofficially for quite a while before that. My youngest is 32 months old. I've had 3 early miscarriages. Two in '06, and one in '07. I didn't want to get pg any of the those times, but dh wasn't on board with TTA at all, it's kinda complicated. I was finally able to talk DH into avoiding until I get some health issues resolved.

So far I'm only half-heartedly writing things down. Just avoiding any fertile patches like the plague. I'm a little confused on method. I have TCOYF which I started reading. I also have Honoring Our Cycles (it's a companion to Nourishing Traditions.) My SIL uses the Creighton method. She said that her instructor told her the only sign you need to observe is cervical fluid. That cervical position and temp are just too inaccurate. I tried temping for a month, but I never get up at the same time or sleep for a solid stretch. DD still nurses a lot at night. When she told me it wasn't necessary, I quit trying to make it work.

So, I guess the question is: does anyone use the Creighton Method? Or do you all want to talk me into temping again? Also, how many of you took classes? Do you think it was really helpful for you? I think I can read my fertility really well and since I have NO desire to get pg, I'm super conservative and careful. I just didn't know if I should take a class....

AF should be here between the 8th and the 10th. I'm resolving here and now to start writing things down! Keep me accountable ok?

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, it's nice to join all of you!

Do you find that your cervical fluid has been consistent and obvious? Just wondering b/c I've seen some women say they got pg, but didn't notice any CM. I think it could work without temping and all that, but if you are absolutely opposed to getting pg. I'm not sure what to suggest or if I'd go on CM alone. I'm CTA, but an accident wouldn't be a big deal right now, so I can't say what I'd be doing if we were REALLY TTA, you know?
