Hello! I was hoping this could be a helpful place were we could all talk and ask questions about all the crazy physical and mental things that come along with pregnancy!
I'll go first! I'm expecting #2 and my first pregnancy seemed so easy, maybe I was even MORE energized because how excited I was! Now my lower back is killing me! Bending over is such a pain. Otherwise, I have the basic fatigue and food/smell aversion. I'm also freezing all the time, like baby#1.
Does anyone do anything for the nausea? Right now I just put my hand on a steady surface and hope the person I'm talking to doesn't know I want to toss my cookies!
With my last, I used ginger for nausea. There is a brand of ginger candy called Gin Gins that are really good. I also drank peppermint tea, but FYI of anyone is still nursing an older baby, that is not advised.
Hello! My symptoms are so different this time around. With my first, I barely had any sickness at all. The only symptom I really had was sore breasts. This time I'm nauseous all day, I can't even look at meat without wanting to vomit.
I've been feeling general nausea daily and have throw up a couple times. One thing that is different is I've been waking up in the middle of the night from between 1am-3:30am feeling terrible and needing to throw up. I've also been experiencing heartburn if I eat acidic food, which is crazy early compared to my other pregnancies.
As terrible as the lack of sleep and throwing up is, I'm also counting my blessings as being sick confirms for me that this baby must be growing.
Other than that, I've been feeling lots of stretching and tenderness in my uterus. My breasts aren't really tender anymore.
It's crazy how different symptoms can be! I'm just glad I'm not puking yet, sorry to hear that justchanti! Especially the waking up at night, there's plenty of that with bfing and I'm sure I'll be up lots in the 3rd trimester to pee.
I'm only 4 weeks so there is still plenty of time for more severe symptoms to start, but as it stands the only symptoms I've noticed thus far are more vivid dreams and frequent urination *Knock on Wood*. I'm hopeful that I will have an easier pregnancy this go-round as my last two pregnancies were fraught with illness and post-delivery complications.
At 7 weeks, the nausea is really getting real. I don't usually throw up, but I just feel queasy and yuck all day and food does not look good at all, which makes it worse of course. The different thing with this pregnancy is that I am still nursing my 37 month old son (just once per day), and my breasts are not sore at all when he nurses. Sometimes they are tender at other times during the day, but I had not expected zero pain while breastfeeding.
Another not fun symptom- I am SUPER emotional right now. :crying: I get teary about everything. I don't know how to rein in my emotions, but I think I am feeling extra lonely and aimless since school started for my oldest, and I just need to get a little more on my social calendar during the day when I'm home with the youngest.

Oh dang! I am still nursing  it's actually so bad at night now. I don't have the best eating habits so I'm trying to keep a partially full stomach all the time. I heard that helps too.
I hope your emotions level out for you a bit coffee! I know I'm a wreck too! Dealing with all these extra powerful emotions is exhausting for me!
Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with hormonal, well, craziness. I wouldn't say my I'm having mood swings but I have been really irrationally angry for about a week now (my poor husband!). I guess it could be worse, I could be nauseated and sick but I'm already ready for the 1st trimester to be over.
I chewed out a new girl at work for an honest mistake. I felt really bad and checked to make sure I didn't make her cry (I didn't!). But I still apologized for over reacting... so far my husbands been safe... I think he knows I'm on a short fuse!
End of first trimester to beginning of second trimester, I vomit a lot, mostly at night. So, I eat Oreos after every meal. Because it smells good even after you vomit it. LOL.
My 1st trimester was way different than with my 3 other pregnancies. I was really tired and took naps everyday and went to bed early every night. I was hungry all the time so had to keep eating or I would get sick. I had to pee about two times at night, all these symptoms usually does not come till the 3rd trimester for me. Also had dizzy spells which made me throw up. That all went away in my second trimester though. It seemed really weird.
I'm really not down with the steroid! I'm going to wing it with some natural remedies first to see where I get:frown::frown::frown::frown::thumblovelaugh:>:crying::wink::grin::x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x
