I had a friend mention self publishing for my book instead of finding an agent, etc. Has anyone used create space self-publishing on Amazon?

I haven't but am going to check it out and research it a bit.

I've been trying to utilize Lulu and have used them for one small project in the past. I'm having issues formatting to the file sizes they use for my current project. The graphics in the new book are coming out all distorted too, which is highly frustrated. (something that wasn't an issue last time)

I'm going to look into Create Space though, thanks for the heads up.

I haven't used Create Space but I know someone that has. They said it was fine, but they weren't given a spine that allows for title so her book will never make it to bookstore shelves. I have no idea if this is a Create Space deal or that was what she chose for her book. I'm really not sure. But other than that, she told me it was good.

I'm looking into this place: http://iampublished.com/get-published-now/

Mindful Spirit Expo is on April 21 and 22nd. Raise your consciousness!

Intuitive,
That looks good too, thanks. Great feedback on the spine of the book for Create Space...thanks for that info. I think one of the benefits to Create Space is the book isn't printed until it's bought, so you don't have to pay out a large sum up front.

From what I've researched, the spine can only be printed wiht title if it meets a certain page minimum. My problem seems to be that my book looks like its going to be 300+ pages and in full color, thats expensive and over the page limit. I'll be looking at splitting my book up into 2 books at this point. Which I can do based on the content, just hadn't anticipated it.
